WHEN TEAGAN comes in for work, I give her a quick hello and then I immediately head down into the basement of the AAN building.

Every chance I've gotten, I've been down in this basement, training. I started a little earlier than my doctor recommended but I've been doing fine. I've actually been doing really well.

Whenever I'm down here, I'm getting better. I can use my gun more effectively. I've been training so hard, even though it's only been a few days. I've been pushing myself to do better and better.

And now I think I'm finally going to try the simulation.

The only thing that's really going to help me get better at fighting and killing Nocturas is either the simulation or the real thing. And since we don't currently have the real thing, because it's been really quiet recently, I have to stick with the simulation.

I pass the target practice and obstacle course and head straight across the floor toward the simulation. I've been given permission to use it now.

Once I get to the door, I type in the pass code to unlock the door. Then I open it and step into the simulation.

A small bell chimes. Then a robotic female voice speaks. "Lee Seunghoon. Rank one senior officer. Simulation ready."

I've never done the simulation before and I've never seen someone do it.

In this room, there's a large space with blocks set up around. Some are smaller and some are as tall as buildings in the city.

I look at the screen on the right side of the door. The settings for the simulation are on this screen.

I look over everything and it seems alright for my first time. It's a five minute simulation with a limited amount of Nocturas and the difficulty setting is on normal. I should be fine.

Next to the screen, there are weapons. I choose one of the pistols and knives, tucking them safely into my holster made for the two.

Once I'm ready, I press start on the simulation and suddenly the whole room goes dark.

"Starting simulation in five... four... three... two... one..."

The room lights up again, and this time the entire area is made to look like the city. There are buildings all around me, sidewalks and streets, trash cans, benches, and even a small grassy area with trees on my right.

Suddenly, I hear footsteps behind me.

I whip around, my gun and knife already in my hands.

There's a Noctura there. He's sort of holographic, but it looks very real. He has black and violet eyes.

I immediately shoot him in the head and then move over to him, slitting his throat easily.

I start hearing more footsteps all around. The Nocturas begin darting out from behind buildings, coming right toward me.

I quickly shoot all of them in the forehead and watch as they fall to the ground, stunned.

Once all four of them are down, I quickly dart around and slit each one's throat.

They continue popping up here and there. I shoot every single one in the head and then slide my knife across their throats.

I dart between two large buildings and hear more footsteps.

I peek out behind the building and shoot three in the head.

Before any others come, I move over to them and slit their throats.
