I tightened the bandage that wrapped around my chest. Maybe if it was tighter I wouldn't be mistaken as a girl again, the word tasted bitter in my mouth 'girl'. I could barely breathe as I pulled my shirt over my head and walked out one of the small stalls the school provided. I clutched at the bandage as it suffocated me. I bit the inside of my cheek, the pain was worth it. I cringed as I read the word 'girl' on the bathroom door. It hurt as I walked to class, but it was worth it. Physical pain felt better than Emotional pain.

Sitting in my seat the bandage felt like it was getting tighter. Every breath it constricted me, like a snake. Tighter and tighter it took my breathe. Tighter and tighter it was slowly killing me.

"Alex, are you okay?" Someone worriedly asked. I didn't respond, I couldn't. The bandages had me on a leash and I didn't want to be set free.
