Jungkook slowly looked up at Tae, unclenching his fists. His breathing became even more panicky than before, if that was even possible, and he felt his heart speed up so fast, he felt it about to fly out of his chest. He looked up at Tae with disbelief and confusion etched on his young face. He couldn't have heard him right.
"Wh-what?" JK asked, a lump in his throat forming.
"I feel the same." Tae replied, also feeling a lump in his throat forming.
JK sat there, the tears in his eyes becoming visible to Tae. He couldn't be hearing him right. This has to be some sort of joke. This can NOT be real.
"I'm in love with you, Jungkook....and I have been for the past five years." Tae said, accidentally letting a tear slip down his face. He felt as panicky as Jungkook, there was no hiding it in this moment. He had waited five years to say that, just like Jungkook...and neither of them ever knew.
Jungkook let out a small laugh, before having a full fledged mental breakdown. Coincidentally enough, it started raining right as soon he started crying. He felt like he was going insane, but if what Taehyung said was true...oh god he felt so happy.
Thunder came now, and the rain poured harder, so they had to yell to be heard.
"I never told you because I thought it was crazy. I was so close to checking myself into a mental institution because I thought I was fricken NUTS! I couldn't seem to get over you no matter how hard I tried. Why did you think none of those dates worked out? You wanna know why? Because they weren't you! I never thought Lisa was the one, I only said that because I thought I would be able to convince myself that she was. I thought if I thought it and said it enough it'd come true and I would finally be over you, but it didn't work, just like the past times with my other dates. I would go into your room while you were asleep and just lay with you sometimes. I knew it was wrong to do and that I wasn't helping myself get over you, but I just couldn't help it! No matter I tried doing for the past five years, my heart always came back to you. I love you." Taehyung shouted this through the dumping rain causing Jungkook to cry even more. Tae cried too, he couldn't hold it anymore.
Jungkook stood there, then ran up to Tae and kissed him. He'd been waiting for this moment his whole life. He had to stand on his tiptoes to reach him. He felt like that moment would last forever and he couldn't believe that it was actually happening.
"I love you too...but you read my diary, you know that." JK said with a giggle, breaking away from the kiss.
They both laughed and just stood there in the rain, holding each other, hoping that that moment would last forever.
