Loki

Loki woke up to the feel of a warm body beside him. It took a moment for his mind to catch up before the memories of the previous night came flooding back.

With the memory came the realization that Thor was currently wrapped around Loki with an arm draped over his side, holding him tightly to his chest.

Holy gods, what had they been thinking? They were so fucked both figuratively and literally, in Loki's case, which he was reminded of by the dull, but pleasant, ache throughout his body.

Needing space to be able to clear out his mind, Loki gently extracted himself from Thor's arms and rolled off the bed to his feet.

Just as he was about to leave the room, Loki paused and turned to take one last glance at the beautiful god sprawled on the bed behind him. It was only then that he realized that Thor stared back.

Loki's chest tightened under the blue gaze and for moment he wasn't sure what to say. What did he say to the man who he'd believed to be his brother nearly their whole life, who he'd also found out loved him, and had just slept with?

The answer was nothing. There was literally nothing that could be said to make the situation less messed up. It was hopeless, it so damn stupid, and Loki could not believe he'd actually lost so much control over himself.

He should have never let his emotions and desires get the best of him, yet at the same time he found it hard to regret the events that had taken place the night before.

Instead of trying to smooth things over, Loki asked the one question that came to mind.

"Were you going to try to stop me?" Thor blinked at him before responding.

"Only if you wanted me to." Thor hadn't moved from where he lay on the bed but his eyes continued to stare at Loki intensely.

Loki's brow creased in confusion, "And how would you know if I wanted you to stop me or not?"  Thor sighed heavily and shifted so he was sitting up on the bed.

"Some things I just know." Loki raised a brow in question at the vague answer.

"And what did you decide? Are you going to stop me or let me walk away?" The question came out much more dramatically than Loki had intended, but he found himself wanting to know its answer all the same.

Thor's gaze tracked up and down Loki's body causing heat in its wake. However when their eyes met Thor's were soft and the look made Loki's heart clench.

When he finally responded the words were quiet and barley audible. "I would never let you go."

Warmth blossomed in Loki's chest yet he had to laugh at the dramaticness of the whole conversation. This whole thing was just ridiculous.

The look on Thor face said that he clearly didn't understand what was so amusing, which almost made Loki laugh harder.

Instead he let out a long sigh and leaned his head back against the wall, staring at the ceiling.

"What are we doing Thor?" There was a long silence and Loki glanced down to make sure Thor hadn't fallen back asleep.

Instead he found Thor's eyes trained steadily on him, as if he was trying to stare through Loki's skin and into his corrupted soul beneath. The thought made Loki shift uncomfortably.
