The scene faded into black as Leah woke up. She'd been having the same nightmare for the past week, and each time it would get worse. One day, she'd only sniffle, and now she was bawling completely. All these emotions were terrible. Leah wanted them to leave but knew they wouldn't. Getting up from her makeshift bed on the leaf covered ground, Leah ignored the dream and stretched.

Putting her feelings aside, Leah packed her things -the essentials such as food, water, clothing, and her bow and quiver full of arrows in need of sharpening - and continued on her journey. There was still a long journey to go until she reached the next village, but she knew if she wanted to find the tree, she had to keep going.

A rustling noise came from behind her. She stopped, becoming worried. She'd already fought against several bandits this week, and she didn't want to do it again.

"Who's there?!"

Rustle

She turned around. "I said, Who's there?!"

A wolf appeared before her, seeming exhausted.

"Huh?"
