The brave lieutenant almost finishes the brandy in one gulf, didn't mind the bitter taste and the burning sensation in her throat, but I couldn't blame her to do so. If I were in her shoe, I'll do the same.

Looking at her ghostly pale face, her dilated eyes that seemed lifeless, and her bleeding arm without an entire hand is enough to know she's enduring a terrible pain that can't be explained, but I made it worse when I poured the remaining brandy on her open wound.

I hold her tight. Hearing her silent cry makes my heart shattered into pieces, but this is much better than seeing her be one of the carnivorous monsters below us.

I know, she knew it must be done. We need to do everything in order for us to survive, no matter what the circumstances, we need to stay alive until we find something to stop this apocalypse.

Even if, it looks like we're looking for a needle in the land of hay.

From the very beginning, I know this is a suicidal mission and a strategy of 'UN' to reduce the people inside the safe haven.

Fewer the people, lessen the risk the longer the supplies will last.

If Thierry the Deputy Secretary-General wasn't my friend, I don't think the authorities will allow my family inside that ship and if ever I fail to find anything, the days of my family inside that ship would be over.

I feel I'm going insane just thinking about my family, standing in the middle of a town full of undead. But no, I wouldn't allow it, never.

Despite having injuries, physical and mental traumas, I am still alive. Still, have a chance to find a solution in the place where all these nightmares started.

Until then, maybe I could relax. Because even though we are meters away from the ground, this plane couldn't keep us safe forever.

And just like what I thought, my heart pounded when I heard a commotion from the other side of the cabin. The lieutenant immediately grabbed her gun when she felt my sudden panic.

Others seemed to notice it as well. The air instantly gets thicker, the tension is obvious on the surface. I believe they also think, what I am thinking.

I quietly approached the curtain that separates the two cabins, but soon I got a glimpsed of the tragic scenes, I immediately closed it. All are horrified, seems like our brief heaven is gone now but in this kind of scenario, Panic is not an option.

With urgency, we quietly barricaded the entrance using our bags. All of us are silently working, even though we are tormented by the cries and screams on the other side, but we need to endure these things if we wanted to survive.

Suddenly, a loud noise made all the undead eyes turned in our direction. Consequently, I temporarily lost my senses.

Accidents do happen and I guess we're not exempted.
