"CAN YOU PLEASE get out of the kitchen, Zeek? I really can't concertrate here," she asked Zeek. They were in Zeek's kitchen and she was trying to cook adobo. She thought it would be easy since she had always been watching her Nanny C cooking when she was a child. She just had to remember how her nanny did it.

"This is my kitchen. I'm just worried about you burning my house," he tried to suppress a smile while watching her chopping the onions. He was sitting in front of her and he was really a huge distraction for her.

His eyes were melting her heart!

Why you do this, Zeek?

She threw a small piece of garlic at him. "And who told you I'm going to burn your house?"

He smiled and chuckled. She stared at him. That was one of the her rare moments seeing him without his serious face and it really mesmerized her. He was already handsome with his serious face but she never knew that his smile could melt her heart in an instant.

His blue eyes can smile! Oye!

She grinned.

He looked away when he noticed her staring at him. He cleared his throat before turning back to his usual serious face.

"You should smile more often, Zeek," she smiled at him.

"You should focus on that." He was looking at the garlic she was chopping. He grabbed the onion beside her and walked to the kitchen counter.

"What are you doing?" she asked him.

"I'm going to chop this myself." He was facing the opposite direction so she cannot see what he was doing until she heard a chopping sound.

"I thought you wouldn't help me," she smiled.

"I just don't want to see you crying," he suddenly stopped. It was as if he had said something he shouldn't have and she was stunned, too.

Did I hear it right? He doesn't want to see me crying? Shocks!

She heard him cleared his throat. "I'm already hungry so I'm helping you to get it done faster."

Hmm.

She stood up and walked towards Zeek.

"What are you doing?" he asked when he saw her beside him.

She grabbed the chopped chicken and put it in the pan. "I'm going to marinate the chicken," she turned to him and smiled.

"You can do that on the table," he said without looking at her. He stopped chopping.

"You really seemed concerned about me, Zeek." He didn't respond. She started marinating the chicken with her bare hands. Zeek continued chopping, but this time, Zeek seemed to purposely let her smell the onions. He moved closer to her while chopping slowly. She was beginning to smell the onions and tears were already on the corners of her eyes.

She looked at him. She saw him suppressing his smile. She glared at him.

He was really purposely doing it!

She suddenly had an idea. She covered both her hands with the marinating sauce of the chicken. She then put her hands on Zeek's cheeks and started spreading the sauce all over his face.

Zeek was stunned in shock and before he could even react to what she did, she started to run away from him. She was already behind the table, four meters away from Zeek when he turned to her with a very grumpy face.
