Soon, they were in the Gryffendor common room. Harry couldn't stand the crowd so he grabbed his invisibility cloak and wondered around the halls and jumped when he ran into a door. He hadn't realised that he was on the staircase leading up to the astronomy tower until he was right outside the door.
He went in and sat on the ground pulling off his cloak. He sighed and gazed up at the stars, making him think of Draco's twinkling eyes. They never twinkled when his gaze was directed towards Harry but he still thought they were gorgeous. A warm blush spread across his cheeks as he thought of the train today.
"I wonder if he realises how cute his laugh is," he sighed. He didn't want to feel this but he knew there was no denying it. He liked Draco. Maybe even loved.
He leaned against the wall and wished that Draco would come up here. He heard the door open and he pulled the cloak over him again. He was suprised as Draco came into his field of vision. He almost pulled the cloak off of him but stopped as Draco began to talk. No one was with him and for a moment, Harry was worried that he had been heard.
"Stupid git," Draco sneered as he crossed his arms and paced back and forth.
"I thought that he 'needed' me. I guess that is what I get for being with with idiot Slytherins. They are probably the most disloyal people unless threatened with death," Draco's shoulders slumped as he leaned against the wall and slid to the ground. "I can't believe Blaise would betray me like that," he sighed and pulled his legs to his chest. Harry wanted nothing more than to crawl over and pull Draco into his arms. He went to move but gasped as he almost fell.
Draco was on his feet and pointed his wand at where the noise came from. Harry stood up and the cloak fell off of him.
"Potter?" Draco asked, not putting his wand down. "What are you doing here? How long have you been there?"
"I just got here, Malfoy," he said.
"You aren't following me, are you, Potter?" he sneered.
"Follow you? Please, I was just coming up here to get away from the crowd in the common room," Harry stated.
"Either way, I better get back before someone notices that I'm not there," Draco shrugged and headed to the door. Harry put a hand on his shoulder and he looked at him.
"You don't need to leave just because I am here," Harry told him. He wasn't about to let him leave.
"I need to leave," Draco said firmly.
"Let me at least take you down there with my invisibility cloak. It wouldn't do for you to be caught after dark sneaking around the corridors," he offered. Draco hesitated before grudgingly agreeing.
Harry draped the cloak over both of them and made sure that no part of them were showing. He sighed when he saw that the cloak was hanging at least two inches of the ground.
"You are too far away," he seethed.
"I am not get any closer to you, Gryffendor!" Draco exclaimed. He heard Harry sigh.
"Just get over here," he ordered.
"What are you doing?" Draco asked as Harry snaked his arm around Draco's waist and pulled him into his side. Harry realised that he had grown taller than the blonde Slytherin and smirked.
"Let me go, Potter," Draco demanded.
"Shut up," Harry snapped as his grip tightened on the wriggling boy.
"Let me go," Draco said again.
"Shhh," Harry hissed and clamped his other hand over Draco's mouth, blushing as sparks errupted in his hand. He pushed Draco against the wall as Filch walked past them and straight through the spot where they had been. Mrs. Norris looked at them but kept walking. Harry relaxed as Filch's footsteps faded.
