"I would do anything do you so don't be so surprised that I would carry you up a fucking driveway."

I start laughing uncontrollably.

"Why is that so funny?" his tone is serious and intimidating.

"I don't know.. that was funny."

"Me telling you that I would do anything for you is funny?" we reach the porch and he keeps me in his arms, shifting my weight so he can turn the knob on the door.

"You'll do anything for me except go to Seattle, marry me, or have children with me?" the irony is not lost in me.
