Chapter 1

It was a Wednesday morning and I awoke to the smell of sweet pancakes. I stretched my arms and threw my blue covers to the side so I can get out of bed. I looked at the time and it was 6:00 a.m. I would be usually running at this time but we are moving so this whole week I have not ran. Sadly to say we are moving to New Orleans, I'm going to miss my friends but we have to. I looked in the mirror to see that my once long golden brown hair was now up to my shoulders, since we were moving I decided to try something new. I ran downstairs to see my two brothers scarfing down the food. "Hey, Hey! What am I supposed to eat?" I asked "you can eat oatmeal!" my little brother teased. "But I don't feel like it why can't you guys ever be nice and let me eat first?" "Calm down kids I'm making more food" my mom calmly said. " I'm going to shower and when I come back there better be food for me." I playfully demanded. I quickly got in the shower it didn't take long because my hair was now short. Once I got out I dressed into a floral dress and leather sandals. Since we lived in Temecula it was already 75 degrees outside. I brushed my hair and curled my eyelashes as for my hair I put it in a fishtail braid. I grabbed my iPhone and purse and walked out the room. Once we all finished eating we headed to school. I got dropped off first because I start earlier. I was walking to my first period class when I felt cold hands wrap around my face, it was my bestfriend Bethany. I turned around and hugged her. "Wow I didn't think you would come!" She exclaimed "Well I decided to come to finish the week before I move." "I can't believe you're moving, I never in a million years thought that you would be taken away from me." She sobbed. " I know I-I tried convincing them to not move but they wouldn't listen." "We're going to video chat everyday ok?" She cried even more. The bell rang so we both walked to our class which was English with Mrs. Amith. She was by far my favorite teacher. As we walked in I noticed Logan Jones, my god was he the son of god because he was so hot not only that but he was athletic, smart, and had a great heart. Good thing he wasn't part of the popular group or else I wouldn't even have the guts to say hi. "Stop looking at your boyfriend" teased Alex. Alex was my bestfriend since middle school. "OMG mind your own business, plus I wasn't even looking at him." " ok sure that's why your eyes were lost in his face right?" I punched him in the arm "you already know nothing will happen between us." " Maybe he'll come up to you and ask you out." Bethany butted in. "You both need to stop." I laughed. "Alright class settle down" said Mrs. Amith today we will be getting in groups,read poems and come up with your own poem. "Ughh" sighed the whole class except me, I loved writing poems. "Ok Savannah you group up with Logan, Jacob, and Leslie. A thousand thoughts ran into my head omg I'm going to be In a group with logan, breathe I tell myself. I walked over to the group and sat in front of him while Leslie sat next to me and Jacob I'm front of her.

The whole day passes and it's after school.

I'm waiting outside for my mom to pick me up, unfortunately my jeep is at home because my dad is lending it to my uncle. I was with Bethany talking. Her ride came so I was alone the I hear my name from a distance it was Logan! What did he want? We don't talk outside of class. "Savannah!" He shouts I turn around and he's right besides me. Just breathe I say in my head. " hey Logan what's up?" "I just wanted to say that your poem was really nice and that you're a good writer." "Oh thanks." I blushed. "You know you should try entering the writing competition." " I would but I'm moving out of state." "Oh wow I didn't know that." "Yea well we don't really talk so." " I'm pretty sure everyone will miss you even me." "That's sweet." "Hehe no problem just trying to make you feel better" *honk honk* "well that's my ride catch you later!" "Ok bye!" Soon my mom was there to pick me up and we went home.
