Six months later...
Mayor Mehmet Yaman is all smiles as he addresses the folks from the media, all of them flocked in from Istanbul for the opening ceremony of a new Bolu Cafe franchise. Located among the lush green hills in a reserved area away from the buzz of the city, the Bolu Breakfast Ranch - a previous farm ranch by the river - now turned into a comfortable, family and pet-friendly place for having breakfast or brunch. Animal lovers could feed and pet the horses in the stable while they wait for their food. Children could run and play freely in the wide compound of the ranch. It was the perfect getaway place to be.
Aslı smiled as she observed Gülsüm and Abidin serving the customers their breakfast. Yeter and Handan bickered away as Yeter served from table to table, while Handan stood doing nothing. Oğuz, Vildan, Yiğit and Suna enjoyed their breakfast while Ozgur played basketball with Oğze, Nejdet, Ömer, Mert and the other kids. It was such a familiar, heartwarming sight - but for now, she only wanted to focus on a rather different view before her eyes.
Aslı had always wondered how Ferhat felt when they first met. What he really meant when he said: "You shot me first, I'd lost a lot of blood". Now she got the answer she wanted. She stood by the wooden railing, looking into the cavernous stable she once lodged in as a prisoner. The man who fed the horses brushed the strands of hay off his black t-shirt. He paced over to the sink and doused his head under the running tap, cooling off the heat after working for the whole morning. Drying himself with a towel, he went over to her and placed his hands on her growing belly.
"Were you staring at me?" he asked coyly.
Aslı raised her eyebrows, but she couldn't hide the growing smile on her face. "Çok mu yakışiklısın, ne bakiyiceğım sana?"
He smiles, leans in and kisses her slowly. Her soft lips tasted of strawberries. He remembers everything he lived with her - deep inside he knew how much she loved him, and she will continue to love him unconditionally. How much he meant to her, and she to him. What did I do to deserve her acaba? He thought. Breaking their kiss for air, Aslı wraps her arms around his body and stares into his warm brown eyes. For a moment, he felt something moving at his torso. She giggled. It was like a miracle. Their miracle.
"How's our güzel doing today?" he asked.
"O iyi," she said. "She's been running and jumping around."
"Ha, çok komik," he said, rolling his eyes. "Inşallah she'll won't be as talkative and loud, annesı gibi."
"Maalesef," she said flirtatiously. "I think she's Team Aslı now, değil mı Cemre?"
"Cemre?" said Ferhat. "Hayırdır Doktor, you gave her a name without asking me again?"
"You can still give her another name," she said. "Just like we did with Mert."
"Iyi, ama Cemre will be her middle name o zaman," he said. "I'll think of the first name for her."
"Olur," she said. "And you'll follow her wherever she goes. You'll never leave the child alone."
"Aynen," he said. "And I'll give her a gun as a birthday present."
"Öyle mi?" said Aslı, raising an eyebrow, unable to hide her laughter. "Sonra?"
"Sonra," he continued, smiling uncontrollably. "I'll take her to school on my motorbike. We'll wear black leather jackets together. Let them know babası kim - so they wouldn't make fun of her."
Aslı broke into a laughing fit. "Sonra," she said. "Sonra sonra?"
