Silver woke up early that morning. He was just too excited to get his first Pokemon! He ran downstairs only to be stopped by his mother, who decided that she would pretend to be a snail.
"I got your PokeGear fixed!" she said.
"What was wrong with it?" asked Silver.
"Shut up and take your phone."
Silver left his house and walked over to Professor Elm's Lab. As he stood at the door, he noticed someone looking through the window. He walked up to him, only to be shoved away. He sighed and entered the lab.
"Welcome!" said Elm. "My name is--"
"Just give me a goddamn Pokemon," said Silver.
"Ok, fine!" Elm exclaimed, giving Silver a Chikorita. "Now, you need to do some crap with Mr. Pokemon, who found something amazing again."
"Why can't you go?" asked Silver.
"Shut up, that's why."

After arriving at Cherrygrove, Silver met an old guy who offered to show him around. Silver followed him as he was guided throughout Cherrygrove. After the tour, Silver went to the Pokemon Center and noticed they had a PC. "AWWW YEAH ITS COOLMATH TIME!" Silver said, running to the PC. Unfortunately, there was no web browser, so he couldn't play Run. He decided to check his PC box and noticed someone had given him a Totodile and a Cyndaquil. He was confused, but accepted them anyways.
He set off on his amazing journey to a house in the middle of nowhere, to retrieve a prize no one gives a crap about, from a man who may be insane.
Not quite what he had in mind when he got his Pokemon, but hey, it was something.
