*Hayden's P.O.V*
"Let's hear it up for Mr. Carlton!"
The crowd claps whilst I whisper to my friend besides me. "He's going to do another bloody rant and ramble isn't he?"
"Yup."
I lean back in my chair and focus on my surroundings, we're in the assembly hall which holds most of us. There's roughly 5,000 students which attend here. Ancient pillars stand high and proud, and paintings are dotted around the vast room. A pillar of what looks like an archangel is placed on the stage which faces us. Haze said that it's ironic. Out of the corner of my eye I see my classmate Ruby staring at me. I look at her dead in the eye and smirk. Then she quickly turns to look at the front.
"Well would you look at that Ms. Ruby Veragreen is seen ogling Hayden Tolkein xoxo gossip girl."
"Shut up Haze." I whisper back to him. "Let's actually pay attention to Drew for once."
"There is going to be a new library for you witches in our crowd just see me after the assembly for more details." Drew says finishing up his speech. The crowd then starts clapping again some even wolf-whistle. Row by row we make our way out of the hall.
"Hold on guys wait." We hear a voice shout from behind us.
We stop in front of our headmistress's office as we wait for Drew to catch up to us.
"How was I?" He asks.
"Bloody amazing." I reply sarcastically.
"You should have seen the way Ruby was staring at Hayden, Drew it was blimming funny." Haze says eyes widening.
"And you couldn't sound more British."
"Says the one who is always like 'Bloody amazing' or 'Another bloody one'," Haze says.
"What can I say, I like blood," I reply.
"Well I love chips so let's go get some." Drew says.
Just as we're about to leave the headmistresses door opens.
"You. Hayden in my office."
Drew and Haze laugh at me as they walk away. I head into the office and close the door behind me.
"Sit." She says.
I sit down on the chair in front of her desk. She looks out her window, her back facing me.
"The Elites have contacted me today."
"Okay?... What does that have to do with me." I ask.
"You know before I came here I was once as crazy wild teenager with no morals. Ten years later I'm the head of the best boarding school in the country." She says ignoring what I said.
I stay silent.
"It's a shame this place is for paranormals or this place could be something so much better. But oh well what can you do."
Then she goes to sit down at her desk and looks at me emotionless.
"Now you're probably wondering why I've called you in here."
I nod my head.
"Well there's a new student that is coming here, her name is Rosita and we need someone to monitor her and make sure she doesn't stir up any mischief."
"What do you mean by mischief?"
"I don't need to tell."
"Anyways why can't you just get a bodyguard or something to monitor her?" I ask growing impatient and hungry.
"We need someone her age, so she can settle in and you are a well-respected student so..."
"Fine."
"Well you can go now. The new student should arrive around next week, so you can prepare from now." She exclaims.
I get up and walk out the office without looking back.
