I confide in my troubles to Ciara my attendant and closest confidant. She's the only one who really gets me and she's my closest friend. "My lady why don't you look at it in a good way. Maybe once your out of under your father's care and you're married, you can pursue your dream"

I scoff "Sure like a husband will let me learn to be a knight. You know how the court men are... In fact, they'll probably keep me under lock and key, in a display case."

Ciarra sighs " Don't worry, Youll find a way."

I go into my closet to begin changing when suddenly Ciarra comes to me saying there is a package for me. "I wasn't expecting anything," I say confused

"The messenger said it came from your aunt."

I take the long box from Ciara and set it on a table. I rip the paper off it and take the lid of the box. I gasp at the sight I see. A longsword in a red and black sheath decorated in roses and vines. Laying next to it is a brown leather bound book with gold lettering saying The Rose Knight.

I pull the note that came with the package.

I hope you find good use of these and follow your mother's legacy.

I take the sheathed sword out of the box and unsheathe it and I'm met with the glorious sight of a long silver sword with a pearly white hilt and a silver blade. From behind me, Ciara stares in awe.

"Ciara I want you to tell me honestly... who was my mother?" I ask my voice quivering with excitement. Id never known my mother, She died when I was a child, my father forbade anyone to speak about her... It's not a law but everyone sticks to it, no one wants to face fathers wrath. The only one who remembers her out of us three is Charles.

Ciara gives me a skeptical look before launching into the story. She tells me how my mother defied all precedents and became the first Princess knight under the alias of the Rose Knight of course... Most of the time she had been undercover... A vigilante. She actually ended the war between our kingdom and Boromir. She was brave and loyal and skilled in the art of the sword and nobody ever guessed it was her. Until the day she got assassinated.

"Ciara...I think I just found a way to pursue my dream" I say with a sly and hopeful smile.
