This is a rant.
And maybe nobody will listen.
But there are things that we just have to deal with in life and I, as well as many others, wish so badly that their thoughts weren't one. Some of us are confused all the time, not knowing what they want. Do I like them? Should I leave? Should I speak up? What did I do? Each day as humans, we are all faced with decisions.
Choices.
Some small, some big. Say yes, or say no. Live, or die. But little do we know that these very decisions will set the paths for our entire lives, determining our future. Yeah, that sounded pretty intellectual, even for me. The thing is, some of us are smart people, but yet they are never noticed. It's just like that illustration. If a tree falls in a forest and nobody is around to hear it, does it really make a sound? There are two sides to every story and more than two answers to every question. Of course the tree would still make a sound, but who would know? That's the point I'm trying to show. People do wonderful things every single day. But only few get noticed. So maybe, just maybe our world isn't as bad as we think. Maybe all the bad things we hear are true, but there are a billion more stories about good, truthful, kind, humble people. Maybe, I'm wrong. But maybe I'm right and sometimes there isn't one way to tell. The human race has destroyed the earth, that is entirely on us. But there were many things that lived here before us, when everything was simple. We can't keep finding excuses and passing the blame on to others for our mistakes. We all screw up, that's what makes us human, but learning and accepting your screw-ups makes you almost superhuman. The thankful, forgiving attitude is rare in the world we live in, and we only have so many left. People cry out every day, for one reason or another. Starvation, pollution, sickness, warfare, violence. The list goes on and on and on again. We wonder if there is a higher power. We wonder how we came to this earth and why the hell we messed everything up. Imperfect humans are responsible for every bad thing in the world. Every terrible thing wrong with the world can be traced back to humans. To us. We run humidifiers and dehumidifiers at the same time. 4-year-old children are walking around with an iPhone X carrying a Gucci purse, wearing thousand dollar shoes. We did this ourselves, and this rant isn't to show that humans are all bad, but we do need to change. And I know I can't make that happen, but influence is the greatest killer, and in this case maybe life-saver. People like you and me, lose family members, are forced out of their homes and starve every single day. I just don't understand how this can keep going on. Really, I don't get it. Politicians promise that they will lower taxes, Doctors claim they can cure cancer, Scientists say they will stop global warming, and Killers promise they won't shoot. Yet, none of these things can really be guaranteed. As habitants of the Earth, we need to start caring and taking care of the planet we call home. People have to be aware of what is going on beneath them and start speaking up about injustices.
"Be the best version of you possible."
We have to try our best to save ourselves before we can't be saved. Every day, more animals are added to the list of endangered species, but what isn't written on the list is us. If everything in the world stays at the same rate, we won't be here in the next ten years. Our world's statistics shouldn't be scary. People need to change for the better and I hope that I can influence even one person to be a better person. In some perfect world, we wouldn't be in this situation. In some other reality, the world and it's habitants wouldn't be facing what we are. David Suzuki, James Cameron, David Brower. These men are all known environmentalists. The thing that has been bothering me though, is this. These people that I have listed, are heard. People hear what they are saying, but don't do anything about it. Some people have influenced the world in amazing ways. Florence Nightingale, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr, Marie Curie, Malala Yousafzai and many other men and women have greatly impacted the world. We need more people that are willing to speak out like these did. And I know not everyone is able to speak out in this way but I guess the point I was trying to make throughout this whole rant is just we are better than this. I guess I can just sum this up in one word.

Try.
