moving on

lea's pov

it's been 10 months since we broke up and neither of us have moved on. today i'm shooting a music video for my new single, "on my way". as i walk on set i see a tall and muscular man, he's attractive, but not as much as cory. i see he's coming my way so I put my hand out to greet him, but instead of shaking it he leans in for a hug.

"hi, you must be matthew !" i say as we pull out of the hug

"that would be me" he says with a big smile on his face

throughout the day we kept throwing flirty comments back and forth. as we wrapped up for the day i see him make his way towards me.

matthew's pov
"would you wanna hang out sometime ? maybe outside of work ?" i asked her nervously

"that sounds nice" she said smiling while looking down

she then held her phone out so that i could save my number in her contacts. i proceed to do so and save my name in her contacts as "matthew aka mv hottie" then hand it back to her earning a giggle as she says the contact name. once the director calls it a day i walk lea to her car.
"so i'll shoot you a text about our date" i say to her as i open her car door

"oh- it's a date ?" she asks

"no ! not a date ! i'm sorry" i say quickly feeling embarrassed

"matthew ! it's okay ! i mean i kind of figured it's a date, but i didn't want to assume" she says laughing at my reaction

"not so funny michele" i say playfully glaring at her

"maybe just a little funny" she says still laughing

"well it's a date then ! get home safe, i'll text you the details !" i say as i close her door and proceed to walk to my car

lea's pov

matthew is actually really sweet. i think I might really like him. it's still too soon to say, but i could see myself having a good time with him. i still love cory and i'm still hurting, but while i was with matthew today i forgot all about cory. i smile as i come to the realization that i'm moving on.
