Chapter 26 - Three Text Messages, Four Missed Calls

I woke up the next morning to a hell of a lot of shouting and a sore back. Stumbling into the front lounge from the bunks, I'd actually woken up in Ash's bunk and was still in my clothes from last night. Guess I fell asleep on him outside. I rubbed my eyes and was about to ask what the fuck was going on but as soon as I walked in the room fell silent. Looking over I could tell it was Andy who had been shouting (what a surprise), and also Ashley, which did surprise me. The rest of the bus seemed to be just watching. I sighed, running a hand through my sapphire hair. "Are you guys gonna tell me what's going on or what?"

"Andy thinks I was trying to fuck you." Ashley said bluntly. My initial reaction to that was laughter because really?! Andy was glaring at me, not finding it amusing in the slightest, but I couldn't help it. It was just too funny.

"Ash? And me? Are you fucking kidding me?!" I managed to get out once I'd stopped crying with laughter.

"Exactly what I've been trying to get through to him for half a bloody hour! She's my best friend! Not to mention the fact she has a boyfriend!" Andy shot a glare at him at the mention of the word 'boyfriend', but I just smirked.

"What the fuck brought this on anyway?!" I asked, sitting down on the couch.

"You fell asleep on me last night so I carried you back to the bus and I know you've been stressed lately and not sleeping so I didn't wanna wake you up and you wouldn't let go of me so I just let you sleep in my bunk with me." Ash shrugged.

"Dude, seriously?!" I rounded on my brother angrily. "I've fallen asleep with Ash more times than I can count, why is it suddenly becoming a problem now?!" It was true. More often than not you'd find the two of us curled up on a sofa somewhere after a show or having fallen asleep watching a movie.

"It doesn't matter!" Andy suddenly shouted, storming off into the back lounge. I rolled my eyes. The fuck was his problem?!

"Okay then... I have to meet the head photographer at the main stage in like half an hour, so I'm gonna get ready, I'll see you guys later." I said upon checking the time. They nodded and I ran into the bathroom to have the quickest shower of my life (because sleeping in last night's clothes is just eww) before getting ready (A/N: outfit on the side). Once I was somewhat presentable to the public eye, I grabbed my camera and equipment stuff before shouting a goodbye and running off of the bus, already probably running late.

"Wait! Sapph!" I heard and turned around to see Ashley running after me.

"Hurry up then Purdy, I'm already late!" I laughed as he caught up with me. He stuck his tongue out, which I returned.

"So... Urr, what happened earlier... It didn't make you feel awkward or anything, right?" He asked, glancing at me nervously.

"What?! Ashy, are you crazy?! No! You're my best friend, we've fallen asleep on each other countless times, Andy's just being bitchy over the whole Kier thing." I rolled my eyes. "I love you and all but, no offence or anything, I'd never fuck you."

"Glad to see we're on the same page then. I didn't want to make things awkward or anything, cause I love you too. Like I said last night, you're my little sister. You're gorgeous and all, but eww no way would I ever go there." He laughed.

"Well, we know that, but Andy doesn't... What is his problem lately?!" I sighed.

"I dunno, but he'll come to his senses eventually." Ash replied.

"Yeah... Well here I am, I better go!" I said.

"Okay sweetie, have fun! You're coming to our set later, right? Just because you're mad at Andy doesn't mean you have to take it out on us!"

"Of course I am, dumbass." I giggled, hugging him tightly.

"Alright then, bye Sapph."

"See ya Ashy." I smiled, waving him off as I joined the crowd of five or so photographers, glad to see I wasn't the last one here yet. What did surprise me though was the person leading the group.

"Hey, Paul!" I grinned, happy to see a familiar face.

"Hey, Sapphire Biersack! Long time no see, kiddo!" Paul grinned back. By Paul I mean Paul Harries, one of the head photographers for Kerrang! magazine. I'd met him loads when Andy and BVB had gone to do photoshoots and interviews and we'd talked about photography a lot. He'd even given me some tips and stuff!

"I know, right! Good to see you again!" I said, just as the last few people arrived and we got started. I was really excited for this, to finally do something to help my career other than having my brother and his band help me all the time. I was doing something for myself.

I collapsed into my bunk that night, too exhausted to do anything. I'd worked hard all day photographing, I even got to do Green Day! And then I was allowed to get in the crowd for BVB's set, so that was crazy. It was about half 11, when we were on our way to the next city, when I felt my phone vibrate, the old one I'd smuggled in with me. I pulled it out, making sure the curtain was firmly shut. It was a text from Kier, along with two more from him and four missed calls. Oops. I opened the texts first.

From: Kee <3; To: Phire <3: Hey darling! Sorry, we were in the middle of practise and I've just checked my phone. It's a bit late in Australia though, are you okay? Love you xx

From: Kee <3; To: Phire <3: Sorry, you're probably asleep now, but text me back when you can, yeah? I miss you <3 xx

From: Kee <3; To: Phire <3: Hey baby, how was your day? It's kinda early here but I couldn't sleep... Let me know when you get this? It's probably gonna be later here before you can but just let me know you're okay, yeah? I love you and miss you <3 xx

I sighed at the texts. They were the sweetest, but only made me miss him more. I knew I had to reply though, he was probably worried. I really wanted to call him, I'd missed hearing his voice, but we were on a moving bus and there was every chance of me being caught by Andy, and then all hell would really break loose.

From: Phire <3; To: Kee <3: Hey! I don't know what time it is there but it's like half 11 here. I'd call you but we're travelling to the next city and I'll be caught. I miss your voice. I miss you. I've had a pretty hectic day today, I got to photograph Green Day's set, GREEN DAY! It was awesome, but I'm shattered now. Uh, get back to me when you can. I love you xx

I fell asleep waiting for a reply. Damn, this long distance thing was really fucking hard.
