Chapter 3-Memories Part I

"... So, I was thinking after checking the contract, we shouldn't close that deal. What do you think, Jax?" Marius asked as his brother just nodded and hummed absently. He kept calling his twin and then, giving up, continued, "Yeah, also, I decided to become a nun and move to the Vatican so you and your wife-y can take the company," Marius raised an eyebrow when Jax looked up and smiled.

"You go for it, bro," was his smart replay.

Marius pitched the bridge of his nose and dropped the golden pen, "Jax, are you even listening to a word I'm saying? What is wrong with you?" It had been over a week since the 'small' accident with Onyx and Jax had been all absent and out-of-space. Marius was the only one to notice this, of course, Elena had been way occupied with things for their wedding. But you're getting marry in a year, he'd thought when, one day, Elena ran into a very important meeting just to show him the color of the flowers.

Jax kept looking out, far away from the actually place he was in. He, brutally, stood up, ignoring his brother, "She looked beautiful, didn't she?" He said, more to himself, as went to the big large window of his office and looked to the city below him. His faced was kissed by a smile, putting one hand on his pocket and leaning against the glass with his forearm, he remembered the first time he had laid eyes on Onyx. It seem ages ago. "Just like that day..." He sighed as the memories took form on his head.

"And BAM! The girl just fell for me. I tell you, man, Chelsea is beautiful as a flower but dumb as a clip," Martin West, one of the closest friends of the Kontos twins, said. It was the last free period of the first day of senior for Jax and Marius and both couldn't wait to get out of there and explore the world. Although, they didn't have the typical twins' relationship, where they did everything together, they were pretty close.

Jax chuckled and shook his head as Marius replied, "You shouldn't play with girls like that, West, someday the shark will bite you in the ass," he grinned, shoving his book inside his locker. The Kontos twins were known for his looks and because the way of how they treat their ladies. Even though they had an out-of-this-world beauty, they never took advance of it with the girls. Their parents had raised them to respect and to cherish women.

That's why they all went for them.

"Yeah, sure, man, you say it because all the girls in this town had fallen for your charms," he chuckled, "Anyway, had you seen this new girl? Some say she's like 16 but she's a junior, apparently she's this cute little nerd," he paused, "I wouldn't mind... showing her around," he laughed and elbowed Jax wiggling his eyebrows. Jax just chuckled and leaned back his locker as Marius frowned. He had seeing this new girl and Martin was right, she was cute, beautiful actually. She looked shy and scared; it amused him because, during the first period, she walked in and they made eye contact. Instead of throwing herself at him, like it had happened before, she just smiled and kept walking.

Marius was about to speak his mind when the bell rang and the hallway started to get empty. He said good bye to his brother and friend and went to his job as a mechanic, he was saving for a new bike, since he didn't want to be a burden for his brother. Martin said he had a date and took off. Jax turned around but someone tapped him in the shoulder making him stop. When he saw the person, let's say his humor went up.

Standing in a red mini skirt, white top and some killing black high heels was Emily Roe; she was the typical blond. Her rich hair adored her back and her baby-blue eyes mischievously shone. She's been after Jax for almost their entire high school but Jax knew he couldn't get involved with her. After all, she was the one who broke Marius' heart. "Hi Jax," she purred, "I was thinking maybe you would like to go and hang in the mansion. My parents won't be around for a while," she took a strand of her golden hair in one finger and turned around.
