The lone wolf

A constant reminder

This girl was different , she was much stronger , faster , and smarter than any girl I had ever met. She was beautiful.

ーーー🍒 Xiumins Pov 🍒ーーー

"Hello, I am Xiumin , let's become friends" I spoke to the class quietly and was seated next to the window of the classroom. I took a quick glance at my surroundings and noticed a girl from across the other side of the room staring at me.

Her eyes were a deep gray and her short black hair ran along her jawline . she gave me a soft gaze before looking away.

I spent the rest of the day wondering about that beautiful stranger I met in my home room class. Remembering the color of her eyes brought a wierd sensation almost as if I was hypnotized by her beauty .

Then I realized that I hadn't seen her after that class.

I wandered the campus until I came to a deserted building. It looked like it was part of the school until some point in time. I walked around it making sure it wasn't dangerous. Since I was still new to this school many students I talked to warned me about a so called 'werewolf'.

It intrigued me to go inside when I heard strange noises , the kind most people would excuse.

" Hello ?" I asked , not recall expecting a response

" Oh, hello Xiumin... " said a voice in a soft tone.

I walked into the house expecting to find the student that had spoken to me but while going in I never did see anyone.

Wondering if the person had left I looked out the window of the building to see my 'beautiful stranger' walking behind the

building.

Not wanting to be placed in the creepy category I simply greeted her once I walked outside of the building.

" Hey ..." I said

The new student introduced himself and went to sit down by the window of the class room. He looked over at me and then gave me a small smile before turning to face the window.

"What a wierdo..." I whispered under my breath.

I then turned to my desk feeling a little bit off.

" Luna, your nose is bleeding !" a girl from beside me stated

I looked down at the paper in front of me , only to see small blotches or red. I quickly excused myself from the class room to clean up go home.

There was something bothering me and I usually had nose bleeds when I was hungry.

Since the teachers think I have a disease of some kind they never question why I leave early.

I walked through the tall trees until I came up to the deserted science lab on campus. This place is a 'wolf hunter' magnet, and I have to be extremely cautious when I walk by.

Even though I usually don't get attacked in broad daylight I still have to be careful.

" Hey, ..." came a small voice from behind me

Startled and by instinct I immediately turned and kicked someone hard in the groin area.

A yelp of pain and surprise came from the small body I just happened to kick, realizing they wouldn't cause me any harm I quickly offered my hand and apologized.

" Mihane !" I said apologetically

" It's ok .." the boy whimpered obviously still in pain.

The small boy lifted his head to look at me and I soon realized it was the new student, Xiumin.

With even more remorse I quickly helped him stand to his feet from where he had fallen to his knees.

" I'm so sorry , you scared me ! "

I said

"It's ok I might have kicked someone too." he responded sweetly

He then gave me a smile so kind me heart raced at the thought of his beautiful smile.

But why was my heart racing when I earlier called this boy a wierdo, was it because he smiled warmly or was it that he reminded me if someone ...

ーーー🍃 Flash back 🍃ーーー

3 years ago ...

His small bleeding body lay in my lap . the thought that I had done this too him made my heart break , how could he be so trusting when he knew I could turn on him any moment ...

" Mihane ... mi..h ...ane " I sobbed. through my tears I saw his small bloodied face smile weekly.

" It's ok ... it wasn't your fault." he whispered .

The wound I had inflicted on this being was making him bleed to death. I had lost control ...

I had killed him

His eyes started to tear up . and I realized I was losing him forever.

" So ... I guess this means we can't keep our promise ...?" he whimpered

" No ... I can't break a promise ... I will always love you .... " I said through my tears

" and no matter what happens I will never forget ... never ." I said

He looked at me his shutting eyes finally dropping the tears they has held back .

" I'm sorry ... so sorry ..." he whispered as he closed his eyes

He was gone forever , I had killed him. I had taken his life. I promised myself I would never love again...

I realized his smile reminded me of the one I had lost three years ago.

Those images played back in my mind and before I could say anything I started to cry.

I had to leave before I hurt this boy

" What's wrong ?" Xiumin asked worriedly

" I'm sorry , we can't be friends," I said coldly "I can't hurt another" I said

With those words in my throat and tears in my eyes I ran away leaving the boy I had just met alone and confused ...
