Trixie's pov
My heart pounded against my chest and no words could come out of my mouth except,' Eli? What are you doing here?'
'I was just making sure you were okay.' While he answered that, I couldn't help but stare at his facial features. Dark azure locks fell upon his bright blue eyes and suddenly I had the urge to brush them away. 'Trixie? Trixie, you there?'
Once I realised where I was, I felt a warmth spread through my cheeks to the tips of my ears. 'U-uh, yeah I'm here.'
'Where has playful Trixie gone these days? I want her back,' he teasingly said as we walked inside the room. I tried to laugh it off,' What are you talking about? She's always been here.' Eli's playful face automatically turned into a serious one that was rarely used with his friends.
As he grabbed my wrists, I could feel my blush rising against my cheeks and avoided eye contact. 'Hey, Trix?'
'Yeah?'
'Do you lik-'
Before he could finish his sentence, Kord broke through the door with a person in his hands. 'Eli, this is bad. I think Melody fainted just right after you went after Trixie.'
Eli's posture changed and he became panicked,' I should've been with Melody all along. It's all my fault.' While everyone was fussing over Melody, I sucked in a breath as my heart tightened. Why just why?
