//Jeoyun's POV//

the next day, I decided to just stay in the house instead of going to school. I thought that might be better.

I had told Chenle to make up an excuse for me and he easily did.

"she was not feeling well yesterday so she decided to go home without saying. and now today she's got a terrible fever."

is what he had planned to say. I doubt that the teacher will believe that lame excuse.

having a 'terrible fever' I laid down the bed all day. I only got up if I had to use the toilet and such. it wasn't boring, I had my laptop and phone with me all day, too.

the sun has gone down as the moon shines the night. while watching some lame yet worth watching videos on YouTube, I heard my phone ringing.

not pausing the video, I picked up my phone, reading the caller I.D and answering it.

"Chenle?"

"hey, Jeoyun! feeling good?"

I rolled my eyes and sarcastically faked a cough.

"I'm not talking about that.. you really aren't having a fever, right?" worry was laced on his tone.

"of course not, you silly dolphin. and I'm fine, nothing has happened today."

"that's a relief. should I come to you?"

"no, it's fine. talking to you through phone is enough."

"but I have something to say."

"just tell me here."

"but it has to be in person."

I sighed.

"ok, fine."

I bet he's smiling right now.

"can we meet somewhere?"

"where exactly?"

"mm... the park?"

"how about the nearby café here?"

"mm.. I guess that'll do."

"ok, see you there then."

"see you~!"

the call soon ended as I got up and changed. heading out and locking the house, I walked to the nearby café.

once I arrived I scanned the place. he wasn't here yet. walking to the counter, I ordered.

waiting for it a familiar figure finally walks in and stands by my side.

"did you wait for long?" he asked and I shook my head.

"I just got here." I answered with a kind smile. my order finally arrived, grabbing it and finding a seat, leaving Chenle who was still ordering his drink.

I set down my cup on an emtpy table I was able to find and waited for Chenle.

got nothing to do, I started looking around, still amused by how they decorated this place. finally, Chenle was nearing me. he sat down opposite of me and was awkwardly quiet.

I grabbed his attention. "so, what did you want to say?"

he looked up then shyly looking back at his drink, playing with the straw.

what's up with him?

"umm, I just wanted to tell you that.." he finally started as I listened to him carefully. he takes a deep breath and opens his mouth to continue talking. "I want us to date. officially."

I choked.

I looked at him with wide eyes. "wh-wh-wh-what did you just say?"

I can see him gulp. "I want to date you. I can't wait anymore.. I love you, Jeoyun, as much as I love myself."

how can he just say that so easily?!

I sweat nervously, glancing around the café and trying to not look at his eyes.

"of course," my eyes avert back to him. "if you're not ready yet then.. I guess it's still fine with me. I'll go with what ever decision you make."

I don't even know yet. I do wanna date him but I don't know if I'm mentally ready for this. but every relationship depends on how you can keep it going.

I took a breath and called out to him. "Chenle."

he instantly looks up to me but I look away from him, slowly nodding my head soon after.

"is.. that a 'yes'?" I hear him ask and I nod again in response. he lets out a shaky breath, almost sounding like he's laughing.

I glanced at him. his elbows were placed on the table as his head hung low, his hands just hanging above his head.

he suddenly looks up that got me alert. a smile, a smile that had reached his eyes, was plastered on his face.

he brings his hands down to the table and then to mine, holding them tight but softly and gently. his warm touch never fails to make my heart go thumping loud again.

he didn't say anything. he just smiles, breathing out laughy breaths that made me do the same.

that's it. we were now starting to date. officially date. boyfriend and girlfriend. lovers. how I want to hear someone say that to us.
