//Jeoyun's POV//

"what's.. your problem?" he asked with furrowed eyebrows.

I glanced to her but she just kept a smirk on. how irritating. I looked back to Chenle.

"it's neither anxiety or depression.. she's just always there with me. she just appeared all of a sudden." I stated. I heard her scoff at me.

"you're not making sense, Jeoyun. he won't understand if you're saying it like that."

stop giving me such advice, you little witch.

"wait, who's 'she'?" Chenle asks.

"pfft, see?"

I glared at her then averted my eyes back to Chenle, who was still as confused as ever.

I opened my mouth to talk but no words were placed on the tip of my tongue. she wasn't letting me speak. f**k her.(a/n: sorry😅)

I took a deep breath and forced my mouth to move and my voice to sound.

"she is.. not like a friend nor an enemy.." I trailed off. why?

"you don't think of me as your friend? well, I'm neither an enemy to you, anyway. sooo.. an acquaintance?"

you're nothing to me.

"so.. who is this 'she'?" Chenle repeated his question. he seems patient, that's good. I don't know what I'll do if he'll just leave, having enough of my nonsense.

"she.. is either anxiety or depression. I don't know what to call her.. but she's a part of me." I answered, hoping that was understandable.

"Jeoyun, you have both anxiety and depression?" Chenle questioned, getting too worried.

"it's neither both of them. she's just there giving me.. negative comments." I replied. I glanced back to her. she was glaring.

"like?" I looked back to Chenle. what does he mean 'like'? isn't negative comments enough?

"say, 'like you don't love me, oh, my sweet Chenle'."

I cringed at her.

"I-I don't wanna say." I said, looking the other way. there was a pause when he responded. with a hug.

"okay, it's fine. whatever it is, it'll be gone, I'm here for you. don't hesitate to come to me, I'm always there and here for you. wherever you are." he started rubbing circles on my back while saying such sweet and comforting words. I felt like breaking down.

"tch."

I glanced to her. she was looking salty.

"guess you got him.. for now, that is."

she smirked.

"see you soon."

she suddenly disappeared from my sight. I pulled away from the hug, looking around the room. she's really gone.

I sighed in relief, falling down to my knees when Chenle caught me in time.

I was so thankful. I wanted her out of my sight. I wanted her to stop talking to me. why did I even believe her words before?

"Jeoyun! are you alright?" Chiyoung, along with Taeyong, barged into my room with worried looks. since when did Chiyoung know about my situation?

I opened my mouth and spoke. "I'm fine.. just tired."

"what happened?" Taeyong asked, rushing to me and snatching me away from Chenle's arms.

I looked at him with doubt. should I tell him now and then? I was embarrassed to tell him with others listening, so I suggested to tell them individually.

"alright. but first, you need to rest, ok? you look weak." Taeyong stated but I gave him a faint smile. I'm not weak. never.

I tried standing up on my own but instead got the help of my brother and Chenle, as they lead me to bed.

"rest for now. call me if you're hungry, alright?" Taeyong smiled and I returned the gesture while nodding with a hum.

he stepped back as Chenle stepped in, now in front of me. he kneeled beside the bed.

"take care of yourself." he said with a sweet smile. he grabbed my hand and secretly kissed the back of it. I was blushing.

he stood up, a smile never leaving his face until he was out the room with the others.

"take care, unnie!" Chiyoung yelled out before the door closed and I was alone again.

I want Chenle here with me.

I picked up my phone and messaged Chenle. thankfully, he wasn't out the house yet as he made his way back to my room. opening and closing the door. now I was all alone, but with Chenle by my side.

"need something?" he asked, nearing my bed.

"can you.. stay? until I fall asleep?" I asked. I saw that he was in utter shock but then smiled soon after.

"glad you asked." he said. he grabbed a stool and sat on it beside my bed.

"want me to sing?" I furrowed my eyebrows at him.

"I'm not a kid." I spat as he laughed. I smiled at him. I soon closed my eyes, trying to get some rest. but then I felt awkward with Chenle just watching me fall asleep.

"can you not stare? it's uncomfortable." I spoke that snapped him out of his train of thoughts.

"sorry." he rubbed the back of his head. "what do you want me to do then?"

I didn't answer him and just held his hand. it's his decision on what to do while waiting for me to get some sleep.

I closed my eyes once again when he suddenly hums a song.

I just said I'm not a kid.

but hearing him hum was relaxing. I finally couldn't think and heard anything as I was now warped into my dreamland.
