I was in stark towers, sneaking around the kitchen looking for a ice pack, a steak, anything to help my black eye.
Then I found a ice pack in the freezer, ice never looked so beautiful.
"Hot?" Said a voice behind me, I jumped. I turned around to see who it was.

"Uncle Steve!" I said turning half way around so he couldn't see my black eye on the right side of my face.

"What- What are you doing here?" I asked

"I live here"

"Right, Forgot about that"

"So where were you last night? You never showed up for dinner."

"Um, Well don't tell dad but I got into another fight." I said trying to run out of the kitchen.
Steve grabbed my arm and spun me around so we were facing each other. He stared at my black eye then sighed.

"Who was it?" He said no longer looking at my eye, he was focused on me, I looked up at him.

"George Metal" I said licking my lip.

"Ah the leader huh?" He said making a joke out of it.

"That's not funny" I said pulling my hand out of his grip and walking out of the kitchen.

"Hey!" He said running after me. I continued to walk. If he wasn't going to be serious about it I didn't want to talk to him about it.
"Beatrice, I want to help, please just let me." I rolled my eyes and turned to face him. He was a couple of feet away. Steve always wanted to help people, but he didn't know what was going on in my life, how could he help?

"I wish you could." I said bluntly. Then I walked quietly down the stairs, trying carefully not to get caught by my dad. I snuck around a corner, there was some noise in the kitchen and I didn't know who it was, so I stayed there. "F.R.I.D.A.Y, who is in the kitchen?" I whispered to my watch that Ava gave me last year. (Stark's daughter)

"Miss Romanoff. Would you like me to contact her?"

"Yeah, tell her that Steve wants to see her in the training room." I answered.

"Right away, Miss Barnes." The clever A.I told me. I waited until I heard F.R.I.D.A.Y'S voice in the kitchen and a groan and curse word from Natasha. When I heard her leave the kitchen I peaked around the corner and continued walking to my room. It was right inbetween Aurora and Ava's rooms. I heard talking coming my way so I quickly hid in a closet.

"No I haven't seen her, did you check her room?" Maria Hills voice was heard through the stuffy closet.

"Yeah, I thought she would be reading but she was nowhere to be found. Her bed wasn't even messy." I heard my dad say.

"Well, maybe she made it."

"We talking about the same person?" I rolled my eyes at that comment. Once they were gone I quietly opened the door to the closet and tip toed to the elevator. I pushed the button and tapped my foot impatiently. I didn't even look to see if anyone was in the elevator when it opened. I realized there was someone in there when I ran into someone. Books were scattered all over the floor, and a pair of glasses as well. I heard a groan and looked at the person I hit. He looked to be my age, he had black hair and black eyes. He wore jeans and a button up blue shirt.
