Dearest Darlingest Father,

No, that's not right...

Dear Dad,

There has been some confusion here at Grace. For you see, we must write a prompt about you. I have chosen mine already, but I've run into a sort of roadblock. Of course, I'll rise above it. For I know that's how you'd want me to respond. It's usually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe. Is it because I'm blonde?

My head is rushing. Is my face...smiling? What is this feeling? Portent as a flame. Does it have a name?

Yes...

Love.

Unadulterated love. For your face, your voice, your clothing. Let's just say, I love it all. Every little trait, no matter small, makes me want to hug you for so long. With simple, utter love. Again, I admit it came on fast. But I know that it will last! And I will be loving, kissing, hugging you my whole life long! Oh, my dear dad, you are just too good. How can you stand me, I don't think I could. I'm a horror. You're a saint. I know these things are sent to try us. But I just want to tell you, I love you. As potent as a flame. It's so pure, it's so strong! I do admit, it came on fast. Still I do believe that it can last! And I will be loving you for forever. Truly, deeply loving you my whole life long!
