Chapter 9

Lilliana's POV

"Lilliana! Don't play with your food." My mom said angrily.

"Sorry." I rolled my eyes.

Currently, I'm having a fancy dinner, more like a dinner in hell, with my mom's boss' family. And let me tell u one thing... It's not what I expected it will be.

"Lilliana? If u don't like your soup u can just tell us. We can order u something else." Ms Spencer, I mean Sofia, assured me. "NO! Um... I mean no. I love chicken soup." I plastered a fake smile on my face. "Then dig in!" She exclaimed. I nodded slowly. "C'mon. Eat babe." Ashton winked. I groan.

"I'm going to the restroom." I said politely. As I was walking to the restroom, I can hear some familiar footsteps nearing me. "Lilliana..." Ashton called after me. I turned & met with his eyes. "Dude! Don't u know anything about privacy?" I raised my eyebrows at him.

"Nope. And don't call me dude, it makes me feel gay." He said, popping the p.

"Nah, I'm sticking with 'dude'. What do u want, dude?" I asked him, getting annoyed.

"Woah, chillax LOL. I'm just asking if we can continue our questioning game." Well that was unexpected.

"Maybe later." I said as I started to walk away.

"Fine." He groaned.

"Favorite movie?" He asked.

"Twilight Saga. Hands down!" I exclaimed.

"Girls with gays." He mumbled.

"What did u say?"

"I said Taylor Lautner & Robert Pattinson r seriously gay." He snorted. How dare he talk like that about Edward Cullen?!

"They r not gay!" I protested.

"Yes, they r."

"No, they aren't."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"No."

"Yes." Wait what?!

"No! I take that back! They r not gay!" I protested again.

"No taking backs, princess." He smirked.

"Oh for crying out loud! Will u two not argue here?" Ashton's dad said.

"Sorry, Mr Spencer." I apologized.

"Sorry dad." Woah! Did the bad boy just apologized to his dad? I guess he does have a good side.

"So... Lilliana, how long have u been friends with Ashton?" Sofia asked.

"Um... Not long I guess." I said shyly.

"Well, I guess u two need to know each other better." My mom added. Seriously mom?

"Will do, Ms Lambert." Ashton said while laying his hand over my shoulders. I shrugged. Damn, it feels good to have his skin touching mine. I smiled.

"So... Ashton. R u those guys who just dumped girls like that?" My mom asked with concern. I guess she noticed Ash laid his hand over my shoulder. Ashton noticed it too, so he let go.

"Umm... Uh..." He's stuck! If he say yes, I guess I can't be with u Ashton. So I did what I can...

I kick his feet & look into his eyes, trying to say 'lie'.

"Nope. Of course I'm not like that. I'm not those assholes." He chuckled.

"If that's that, I guess u too can know each other better." My mom exhaled.

"Thanks, princess." He whispered. I smiled in return.

"By the way, u look pretty sexy in that dress."

And u look handsome in that tux.

"Thanks?" He chuckled. "It's a compliment."

I guess this dinner isn't quite bad at all.
