Shane hugged me before opening my car door. The ride was almost silent besides him occasionally saying I know it will be hard but me and Ryland have been trying our hardest to make this feel like home. He also asked me some questions just about what I liked and had I ever talked to my birth mom. I answered each question in short yes or no answers, not trying to be rude but because if I said anything besides yes or no I was afraid I would trail off and embarrass my self. I asked Shane if we were almost there and he laughed and said we had a good 3 more hours. Then he started telling what to expect when I get there "Well it's not going to be anyone besides Me, You, and Ryland tonight. We will go out to dinner, a movie, and then shopping because we didn't really know what you liked/wanted. Maybe tomorrow or whenever you feel comfortable you can meet "the squad" but right now we are focused on US as a family." I totally understood
him and was excited to began that new chapter off my life. I hoped he was just as excited too.
