Her skin so soft and fragile, wrinkled like a piece of crumbled paper. Her body as fragile as a leaf, hair like the snow, cold and white as it blows in the soft gentle wind. As old as an old oak tree, her crystal eyes revealed all of her past so many years of memories imbedded deep within her skull, each event for as far as she could remember playing over and over. Nanny was a sweet old lady so careful and caring as we would try our best to skip down the street all the way to our favourite cake shop. It was so small yet cute it had a pastel yellow door and the frames were painted yellow, on the sign it had a light yellow background with an image of these cute tiny cakes that looked delicious. The shop was called 'Elle's sweet treats' we went there twice a week and would buy these cute adorable cupcakes which were so tasty I'd always want more. Nanny was really healthy for an old lady and every-time I was round she would take me shopping or to out cake shop.

However things took an unexpected turn, I was at school in this boring maths class learning about fractions or something and then miss Harbour came to me to take me of class and told me nanny had been rushed to hospital and that my mom was on her way to pick me up to go and see her. Mom arrived at school she said hi with a great big hug and picked me up and carried me to the car, which wasn't far. We drove on a journey to the hospital which felt like hours however it was only 30 minuets. When we got there we walked into the hospital and was told what room nanny was in, we rushed down the halls to go and see her.

I opened the talk heavy door to see nanny on the bed I felt my eyes fill up with tears as I rushed by her side to hug her, struggling to climb up onto the bed to hold her. I cried and cried as nanny and Mom tried to comfort me. Nanny turned to me and spoke 'it will be okay pet, nanny just had a fall and won't be in here for long before you know it I'll be out and we will go to our little cake shop', I wiped the tears from my face hopping nanny would be out soon but she stayed there for a while.

A few weeks later.

Nanny didn't end up being released from the hospital in fact she ended up catching a really nasty illness, I wished apon every star in the sky to hope that she would get better, but no matter how hard I tried she only got worse. Nanny had been in hospital for over a month now and she was so sick she couldn't do anything. One day while I was in school Miss Harbour came to get me again to tell me that my mom was coming to pick me up again as she needed to speak to me. When Mom arrived she was crying she kneeled down to tell me that nanny was going to the fairies, I got so upset I bursted in to tears and wrapped my arms around mommy. We went to hospital to visit nanny one last time and I got to say my goodbyes to her and then we left, that night I sat up looking out the window wishing for her to be saved, I was only 8 and I was hoping nanny would stay. That day had took an unexpected turn and after everything just went all wrong, I wasn't allowed to nanny's funeral so mommy brought me something back it was a rose and a bit of paper that had all of nanny's songs in it, I listened to each and every one of them each day. After nanny had died it was really hard to do anything so I didn't go to school for a few days, but eventually I cheered up and now every time I go to our old favourite cake shop I always bring a photo of nanny so I know she is always with us.
