Lilly's POV
We finally got to Frann's and my stomach couldn't be happier. The smell of pancakes and coffee wake me up entirely. I love this place.
Harry asks for our usual booth in the back corner of the restaurant, next to the old jukebox that stopped working ages ago. I'm convinced it's still here just simply for decor.
This is our spot. It became our spot the day of my dad's funeral about 3 years ago. I was an absolute wreck and I just wanted to be left alone. But of course, Harry didn't let that happen, and I'm glad he didn't. He took me here and told me to order whatever I wanted. I gave him a hard time, telling him I wasn't hungry, wasn't in the mood to eat. I hadn't eaten in 3 days. And wasn't having it. He told me that either I ordered something or he'd order for me. After a minute of me not saying anything he called the waitress over and ordered probably the most carb filled meal. Funny how it's practically what I always order now when I come here.
"Hey Betty, Lily will have her usual and I'll just have the special."
"Coming right up darling. And here's your tea, hot and ready for ya. How's your last year of college going so far Lily? Loving the campus life?" Our waitress Betty asked me with a kind smile. She's always so nice and happy.
"Stressful as hell. But I keep reminding myself it's my last year. And campus life..." I looked at Harry and he smirked, then looked down at his tea, stirring it. "Let's not even go there." I finished
"Well it's like you said sugar, your last year." she gave me a wink and a gentle squeeze on the shoulder.
Betty has been our waitress here since that day. She's the sweetest lady around. Everyone who knows Betty loves her. Harry's known her a bit longer than I have. This was his spot before it became ours. It meant a lot to me when he told me he didn't mind sharing it with one other person. After that day my friendship with Harry became like steal. We were best friends before then, but after that day it's like we became something more. It's hard to explain. But I guess you can say we became each other's rock and support system.
"You don't look like death anymore." He pointed out before sipping his tea.
"How could I? I'm at Frann's."
"You know, you once thought that meal was ludicrous" he chuckled
"Once and never again. I love it. I feel like it could be my happy place."
Harry gasps dramatically and placed a hand on his chest, acting hurt.
"1. A meal can't be a happy place. And 2. I'm wounded. I thought we agreed to be each other's happy places?"
I rolled my eyes and let out a giggle.
"Well if you think about it, I only ever come here and eat this with you, aaaand you are the one that came up with the amazing meal. So technically speaking, you still are my happy place."Harry laughed.
"Well played Collins. Well played."
"Why thank you Styles."
Harry began drinking his tea.. or should I say slurping it. He sounded like someone blowing their nose.
"Jesus Harry." I hissed. "Didn't your mom ever teach you manners? You always sip your tea, not slurp."
"Don't tell me what to do. And who taught you that? Queen Elizabeth?"
