Love Dust

chapter 3 -

~AMMARA'S POV~

Mm. Morning. I go to stretch, but I'm hugging someone. No, it can't be. Should I wake him up? I try to pull my arm  from under him, but he's holding my other arm. This just isn't working. 

~LENNY'S POV~

I woke up to her still holding me. Yes! Is she awake? I ponder. I roll her and she is awake. 

"Um, hi." she says so awkward.

"Hey..." I let go of her hand and sit up so she can get her arm back from under me. She snatches her hand away instantly.

"Did I... do something to you last night?" she asks.

"Haha, yes. Only a little cuddle though. In your sleep."

"Oh god! I'm so sorry! I'm just used to cuddling my boyfriend back in Darwin!" she facepalms.

"B-b-b-b-b-boyfriend?!" my lip quivers.

"Well, ex boyfriend now.  We broke up because I moved here. Just still not used to him not being with me." Phew. That almost gave me a heart attack.

"Aw. That's sad to hear.." I patted her on the back.

"It's okay. He was a dick anyway.." she wiped a tear away. "SHIT WE HAVE SCHOOL!" We looked at the time and it was 9:00. "Let's just take the day off.."

"On my second day?"

"It doesn't really matter, today's the last day. You came on the second last day of term 1. I thought you knew that?"

"No! Haha! Well then thats okay. Let's go somewhere!" She smiles. When she smiles I smile. Can't she just like me back? I wish. Why would anyone like me? Everyone goes for John. I can't help but smile when I'm with her. Why can she not realize I like her?

"Okay. Where?"

"Let's go to the beach. It's a nice day today.."

"Okay."

We leave the room to see John and Yasmin on the couch. "Do you guys want to go to the beach today?" Ammara asks.

"Sure! But we need to drop by my house to get my bikini."

"Yeah and Len and I's house." they smile.

"Yay!" Ammara cheers. "Well, I'll go get changed now!"

~AMMARA'S POV~

Yay beach time! I love the beach! I run straight into the water with Yasmin. She oulls John in, I grab Len. We splash around in the water for a bit, then we sit on the sand giggling and laughing.

I rest my head on Len's lap. "I'm tired now.." I say.

"Me too!" Yasmin agrees.

"Mara, can we.. talk?" Len asks me.

"Sure! Let's walk around the beach." 

"The water looks so nice.. don't you agree?" I ask.

"They're beautiful. But not as beautiful as you."

"Aw!" I grab his hand. "So.. what was it you wanted to talk about?" I ask.

"Well, um.. we're friend's.. right?"

"Yes, of course! You're my best friend! Along with Yasmin and John!"

"Oh okay." He smiles weakly. What's up with him?

A few months have gone by now, I'm really starting to settle in here. Len and I have gotten really close lately. He is a cutie. I actually like him. We have so many moments. So many times we have gotten our faces so close we could kiss, but one of us always pull away with awkwardness. I'm not sure if he likes me. But I like him.  We know each other so well! Like, his favourite colour is blue, he loves to dance and run, his favourite food is chocolate. Etc. I've also gotten really close with Yasmin! She's amazing. And a perfect best friend.

"Excited for your party tonight, Mara!" John says.

"I know! Been planning it for ages! But even though there is no reason for it, we shall party hard!" I call. "I'm going to go get changed." 

"I"ll join you, I brang my dress. I'll go into the guess room!" Yasmin says.

The dress I'm wearing tonight is a white lace dress, mid-thigh length. And brown tie up shoes that go up to my ankles. Tonight is going to be awesome~
