Problem and Meeting the Human

Annabella pov
Something was off today. I could sense it. I couldn't shake the feeling. Edward had returned and ended up trying to stay away from the girl.

After class I pulled Alice and Jasper aside.
" Alice. Do you sense anything?" She shook her head.
" Nothing except that I feel like something is going to happen."
" Alright. Go. Before you're late." She nodded and hugged me.
" Bye mom." I smiled and hugged her than I kissed her forhead.
" Go my little pixie." She smiled and left. I gave Jasper a reassuring look and than shooed him out.

Later I was in the parking lot with the others waiting for Emmett. Just than a van skidded and nearly ran over Bella. Edward went and saved her however nearly exposing us. I sighed and motioned for Rose to get into the car with me.
" Jasper. Alice. Leave now."
" Yes ma'am." Jasper said. Edward came over and I gave him a sharp look.
" Get in the car child." He did without a word.

We rushed to the hospital. I grabbed Carlisle and told him to go see to the girl.

Once he came out I looked at him. He sighed and came over.
" She'll be fine." Rose scowled and I gave her a sharp look. Edward came over and we talked.
" What was I supposed to do? Just let her die?"
" This isn't just about you. It's about all of us." Carlisle spoke.
" We should take this in my office." I noticed Bella.
" Carlisle." I whispered. We all looked over.
" Can I talk to you for a minute?" Bella asked. Rose looked tense.
" Rosalie." She looked at me than sighed and nodded. I squeezed Edward's shoulder and than left.

That night Carlisle and I relaxed in our room. I was still tense.
" My wolf. Are you alright?"
" Fine my love. Just tired and stressed." He chuckled and kissed my head.
"Alright love. Oh. The school got a hold of me and asked if I could also chaperone tomorrow." I chuckled.
" Of course." I turned around and sat on his lap.
"Please tell me you said yes."
" Yes I did." I smiled and put my hands on his chest.
" Good." We kissed deeply than he pulled away and spoke.
" Perhaps we should tell them."
" Mmm. Perhaps. But I think the family has had enough excitement for one day." He chuckled.
" Probably." I kissed him again than laid down next to him. Carlisle laughed and than pulled the covers over me.

The trip went well except for Edward getting irritated.

A week later
Today the sun was coming out so Carlisle and I got the kids out of school. We went hunting and the kids were happier. It also gave me an opportunity to use my wolf from which I rarely used.

That night Carlisle was called out on an emergency. When he got back Edward did also. I knew that my mate was tense. I went over and just let him hold me.
" What's wrong?"
"The vampire is getting closer." We all stiffened.
" So another attack?" Carlisle nodded. I sighed and we all settled in. Edward was silent. I looked at him.
" What is it Edward?" He looked at me than looked away.
" I think she knows." We all froze. Rose stood up furious.
" I told you she would figure it out!"
"Rosalie. Not now." I said. Carlisle spoke.
" Anna is right. If the human investigates this any further she'll find out the truth." Rose sat down. Esme looked at me.
" I'll look and see if I can find anything." I nodded my head. Carlisle kissed my cheek.
"We'll figure it out." I nodded my head.

The next day Bella drew Edward aside before school. She knew what he was. What we were. We decided that he should invite her over.

That Saturday he brought Bella over. Emmett, Carlisle, Rosalie, and I cooked. Esme and Aaron had gone out as had Alice and Jasper. I watched as Carlisle followed the recipe. He smiled at me and I smiled back.
" Is she even Italian?" Rose asked annoyed.
" Her name is Bella." Emmett said. Carlisle spoke.
" I'm sure she'll love it no matter what." Just than we heard them come in.
" Here comes the human." I said. I put the stuff down and went over.
" Hello Bella. We're making italino for you." She smiled awkwardly.
" Bella. I'm sure you know but this is Anna. My mother for all intensive purposes." Edward said.
" Bonjurono." She said greeting me.
" Monte belle." Carlisle spoke.
" Given us a chance to use the kitchen for once." I playfully glared at him. Than I turned back to Bella.
" I hope you're hungry." I said.
" Yeah. Of course."
" She already ate." Edward said. Rose broke the bowl and stepped up.
" Perfect." Emmett sighed and walked over to Rose.
" Yeah. It's just because I know you guys don't eat really." I smiled.
" Of course. That's considerate of you." Carlisle came over to me and put a arm around my waist.
" Just ignore Rosalie. I do." Edward said.
" Yeah. Let's just keep pretending like this isn't dangerous for all of us. And in case you haven't noticed or Edward hasn't told you our mother eats. She's not fully vampire."
" Rose!" I scolded.
" I would never tell anybody. Anything."
" She knows that." Carlisle said rubbing my arm.
" Yeah well the problem is you two have gone public now." I looked at my eldest son.
" Emmett."
" No she should know. The entire family will be implicated if this ends badly." Rose said stepping up to Bella.
" Badly as in. I.....I would become the meal." Most of us laughed at that. Just than Alice dropped in.
" Hi Bella." She went over and hugged Bella.
" I'm Alice." Alice backed up.
" Oh. You do smell good."
" Alice. What are you......?"
" It's okay. Bella and I are gonna be great friends." Carlisle spoke from his place behind me.
" Sorry. Jasper's our newest vegetarian. It's a little difficult for him."
" It's a pleasure to meet you." Jasper said staying away.
" It's okay Jasper. You won't hurt her." Edward looked stricken and than he spoke.
" Alright. Uh. I'm gonna take you on a tour of the rest of the house." Edward turned Bella away than gave us all a look. Once they were away I laughed.
" Cute."
" I know." Alice said agreeing with me.
" I think that went well." Carlisle said. I pointed to Rose and spoke. " Clean this up. Now." Rose did so without complaint. Carlisle spun me around once than kissed me quickly. I went over and Alice hugged me. Than I put a comforting hand on Jasper's arm.
" It will be fine." Carlisle came up behind me and picked me up spinning me around. I squealed than laughed. The four teenagers all laughed also.

Later we were relaxing when Edward and Bella came back in. Carlisle was holding me close just relaxing. Edward took Bella home but not before inviting her to play baseball with us next weekend. She agreed.
