Juliana POV
I smiled when I saw Victor come in the dining hall.
"What took you so long?", I asked after he kissed my forehead.
He sat down next to me.
"Work.", he mumbled.
I nodded.
You would think that me being apart of their 'lifestyle' that they would include me more, but they don't.
I don't know why. It's not the fact that I'm a woman because there are 4 other women who are actively on our team.
I looked up and saw Giovanni, Lena, Bruno, Levi, Lily, and Hanna walk in the dining hall.
I smiled as Hanna pulled out Lena's seat for her.
The servers placed our dinner in front of us.
The Chefs made us braised pork and duck with lentils.
The servers poured us red wine.
We all ate in silence.
The silence was broken when someone cleared their throat.
We all looked up to see a slim woman standing with one of our guards.
Giovanni stood up.
"Sir, this woman was caught trying to jump the gate."
"Who in the hell are you?", Giovanni asked harshly.
"Look, I just came to see my sister. I knew that if I ranged the buzzard, she wouldn't want to see me."
"Who are you?"
"Marianna. Marianna Ortiz."
Camilla came out the kitchen with more bread and nearly dropped the basket. Victor caught them before they fell.
"You're Aria's sister?", Giovanni asked softly.
"Yes. Where is she?"
We all looked at her with sad eyes.
She doesn't even know.
"Is she here?"
"No. Um, Aria...Aria was killed 3 years ago."
Marianna looked so hurt.
She turned towards Camilla.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Why would I tell you anything?!", Camilla shouted which was very unlike her.
"She was my sister. You're the one who drove us apart."
"Embustero! You being a puta drove you all away from our family."
Due to my time in Madrid, I knew that Camilla called Marianna a liar and a whore.
"Oh my God. Are you still upset that I didn't marry Luca?"
"No. He was too good for you."
Everyone at the table looked at each other and sipped their wine.
"Too good? He knocked me up and ran off?"
Camilla scoffed.
Giovanni cut in before the argument went any further.
"Look ladies, this isn't going to change anything. Marianna, I'm sorry that you weren't informed on what happened to Aria. If you want, you can come back tomorrow to go through some of her old things."
