So I'm still working on the nightmares series but I've been writing this one for like a day and so I though I'd share
It's a one shot and I'll probably write more eventually
It's canon divergent for the episode escape from Beta Traz
Y'all will get what it's about once I start writing
Let's do this

~~~ Tw: mild Gore (as always) and isolation
Pidge had always disliked rooms with high ceilings and walls that were too far apart. It was one reason she didn't like the outdoors either, it made her nervous to be so small in such a big space. Being outside her lion and floating in space was a whole new level of nope for her. So when the plan for Beta Traz was to be launched out of blue and fly through literal space to get inside the prison she was a little more than freaked out. When it came time to go Shiro assured her they'd be fine, so she went, and believe it or not it was fine. That is, until the piece of metal she was grappling to ripped off and she tumbled into empty space. She heard Shiro in her coms.
"PIDGE!" She felt a sharp pull on her line and her shoulder snapped, she screamed and then she was flying away again. "Pidge-are you-cutting out-sorry-we'll find-" her line went dead.
As she spun through space she could see the prison growing father away. Space was big, she had no idea how far she would end up away,
"Stupid law of motion," she said to herself. She reached down for her legs and tucked them under her arms. Space was cold, she could barely move her fingers now. Her breathing quickened, what if they can't find me? What if I freeze to death before I'm rescued? She was hyperventilating now unsure of what to do, then she remembered her jet pack existed (more like I remembered *sigh*)
But before she could use it she felt a sharp pain in her back and a loud crack. She had slowed a little and the turning had stopped, but for that to have happened she must have met another force. So where? A large asteroid floated by her to answer the question. She turned to look at her back, where she assumed she hit the rock, and of course her jet pack sparked. It was broken, now she really had no way back, more rocks flew by her and one slammed into her head. Her helmet blocked most of the damage but there was a crack across the visor and air leaked out. A rock slammed into her chest and she felt her ribs cracking. She groaned in agony, blackness settling into her vision. She was loosing air quicker now and the rocks kept coming. Pelting her in the legs and arms. Somewhere in between she passed out, now floating in space without knowing where she was going.
And there it is. Ten votes and I'll do a part two with mostly comfort and all that fluff, sorry about the ending I'm really tired rn. I do have an idea about an ending but you know. Motivation sucks when it runs out, if y'all wanna know what music I listen to look up Evan Prince on SoundCloud and there's two playlists there (making some more soon) but yeah.
