"he ended things?" i asked my bestfriend as she was sobbing in my shoulder.
i felt her nod. "over a comment, maddie. a fucking comment."
i rolled my eyes and scoffed. "i can't believe im related to that dickhead."
she laughed. she put her head up and i saw her mascara running. "i love him, mads."
i got up and pulled her up with me. "oh, no." i scoffed. "you're not gonna cry over that piece of shit."
"um, what?" she looked at me, confused.
"we're going out. you just got over a breakup. you don't have to meet guys but im not gonna let you nope around over my brother." i felt disgusted when the words 'my brother' came out my mouth.
she laughed and got real serious. "yeah, no."
"nope, no exceptions. im calling bea, naya and lia and we're all going out." i cleared my throat. "and we're gonna look bomb doing it."
she looked at me and smiled. "one problem, none of us are old enough."
i laughed. "sweetie, there's a thing called a party for teenagers."
she laughed and smiled. "let's do this."
