(Not) Normal

The Fourth

None of us said a word as we ran to The Hooky. Once we were there, I locked the door. After catching our breath, Fe said, "How the hell does he know about us?!"

"No freaking idea." I replied, glumly.

"Let's forget that for a second." Ez said, looking at Ari. "You. Can you do anything? Like, ability-wise."

Ari nodded.

"..."

"..."

"... Can you tell us what that is?" I asked, impatiently.

"I could, but it's better if I show you." Ari said, mysteriously.

Ari walked over to Ez's "My Hero Academy" Poster and the picture of a character called "Dad Might" suddenly flew of the poster, and Dad Might was standing right in front of us.

Ez, Fe, and I stood with our mouths, agape.

"Do not worry, I am h-" Dad Might was suddenly back on the wall, with the other characters.

"NOOOOOO!!!!" Ez, Fe, and I, complained.

"That's what I can do." Ari said, coolly.

"You can animate 2-D images, can't you?" Ez asked.

Ari nodded, "The only problem is, I can't control them once they're alive."

"Huh, so can you animate things you've drawn?" I asked.

Ari nodded, again.

"That'll come in handy," Fe said.

We stayed there for another 30 minutes, then we realised something... We had ran out of food.

"We can't stay here forever. You guys can come back to my place, we'll figure out what to do from there." I said.

We all nodded.

*Timeskip 15 minutes*

"Ok, you guy-," I started. The image I saw in my living room mirror made all the breath leave my body.

Officer Jones was in my living room, with at least a half-dozen police officers searching the place.

... Then Officer Jones turned his head.

The left side of this face had a small burn on it. He looked straight at me.

"S***! Run, you guys!" I yelled.

I could hear Jones yelling at his fellow officers, and soon I heard this...

"Freeze! Get on the ground! NOW!" Jones said.

My friends slowly sunk to the ground, except for me.

"Ryoni!" My mom, cried.

"Ma'am, you have to stay back." A female officer, said.

"Kid, get on the ground. We don't wanna hurt ya." A male officer, growled.

"No." I said

"I will shoot you, you punk! I swear to God!" The officer, shouted.

"Do it." I replied.

The officer fired his gun. I dropped, so did he.

My mother screamed, my friends looked anguished.

I opened my eyes and stood up. My mother's eyes looked like they were about to pop out of their sockets. Ez and Fe smiled, Ari was bewildered.

I took the bullet out of my forehead, walked over to the dead police officer and grabbed his gun. I concentrated, and put the gun to my mouth.

"NOOOOO!!!!" Officer Jones, shouted.

... Too late.

I pulled the trigger, and several police officers fell to the ground, dead.

"Mom, I have to go. I love you sooooo much." I said, with tears in my eyes.

Ez, Fe, Ari, and I ran into the woods, while police sirens rang out behind us.
