Prologue

What if you woke up one morning and were told that the world would end that very night?

What would you say?

What would you do?

If you only had twenty-four hours to live, who would you spend it with? Where would you go? Would you wallow in your grief alone with no comfort? Would you forget the ones who care for you?

Or would you spend the remainder of your time left on this Earth with your friends and family?

What if there was another option?

What if you were given a second chance that no one else could receive? What if there was another world? One filled with the promise of refuge and food and water. A place where you wouldn't have to hide or be afraid. A place that was safe and full of hope.

But it came with a price...

You would have to sacrifice your friends and family. Dooming them to an inescapable fate that you could so easily prevent. To wander an extraordinary land of paradise full of riches and promise. A place where you could live forever and never become sick or weak or frightened.

You would be invincible.

But you would be alone for all eternity...

You would think that you already know what you would choose. That you would never give up your friends and family just for them to die and for you to be alone till the end of time.

Now, you believe that you would accept your fate and be with the people you love until the end.

Anyone and everyone would've chosen that.

Right?

Wrong.

Someone...someone without a heart and definitely no soul, chose the obsolete life of paradise all alone with no one to share it with.

And the the middle earth screamed with rage.
