"You know, you just need a little push." Rahel told Piros with a soft voice, trying to give the poor boy some motivation to complete his and Farkas' quest. Rahel knew Piros wanted to be done with this more than anything, mean while Farkas wanted nothing in it. The male sighed in frustration knowing not what to do in this situation. He stared at Piros who was just staring at his clasped hands, and this an idea came in.
"Hey, why don't we try and change a little?" He suggested with a smile, but the Red just looked at him in confusion, which Rahel just replied with an even bigger smile, "Come, I'll show you what I mean." And like this they both walked into Rahel's room.↶ ❦ ↷
The hottest hour of the day arrived and in Wolf territory it was hardest to handle in the outside. Even Farkas couldn't handle it. After a few hours he finally returned. He entered his house and it was silent, way silent, not many lived there, but still. Farkas just ignored it and moved to the kitchen, seeing if there was anything he could eat since he hasn't eaten since morning. Sadly for him, he found nothing and with an empty stomach he just sat on a chair and waited for Angela. His pride was too big for him to admit that he regrets his decision from that morning.
He sat there for an hour, yes, he was too idiotic and proud to do anything for himself. His ears woke up as some steps came down the stairs.
"Finally, I thought you were dead Angela." He said with the obvious thought of being annoying. He turned but didn't face Angela, he faced Piros and his face had a transformation to disgust.
"Why are you still here? Didn't I told you-""I don't care what you say..." A whisper came from Piros, his eyes didn't meet Farkas, they were staring at the floor gathering courage before looking at Farkas'.
"Do you even know how to speak? You are pathetic. I'm getting Angela, I have no time to speak with you." Farkas said as he stood up, but his steps didn't last long as Piros took a hold of his arm. "What are you doing? I never said you could touch..." He didn't finish the sentence once his eyes met Piros' eyes. His eyes showed strenght, there was no pity like yesterday.
"I... I don't care about your words. I won't give up that easily. I will do anything for you to accept me and treat me as an equal. I didn't come here to be pushed around by my mate, I came here to follow tradition, something I respect." He let go of Farkas, but Farkas didn't walk away. He just stood there a bit shocked and confused. How was Piros able to gain such confidence. "So please, even if its once, just give me a chance to prove myself worthy of sharing a life with you, just for the sake of our tradition. Please." Piros said the last "please" in a whisper and without taking his eyes off of him, trying not to show weakness.
Farkas didn't say anything in returned nor looked away. He gave Piros a nod in agreement, "Just... One chance. I'm not doing this for you, but for someone else." Farkas said, his tone wasn't strong like before, it was normal, just for the sake of his agreement and a start of it. Piros sighed in relief and smiled. Farkas didn't.
The Red offered a hand, which Farkas' just stared at in and waited for Piros to explain.
"It's to make sure we both agree, nothing else." He said and Farkas gave a nod and took the young man's hand.Piros chuckled in delight, some part of the weight he felt was lifted and he felt a bit more free. He stretched his arms and pulled out a chair for Farkas, "Since, we agreed, I'll start from this moment and show you I can be helpful." He told Farkas as the wolf sat down, his facial expression didn't change for a moment, he was trying his best not to be annoyed or appear annoyed. When a wolf made an agreement they would stay honest towards it and try their very best to go with it. Just for the sake of their pride ans not to seem weak or as a coward.
"And how will you do that?" Said the Wolf as he crossed his arms and his eyes followed Piros into the kitchen. He was a bit curious, he only knew that Piros was weak and full of pity. He thought he wasn't able to do anything, just cry and appear frail.
"I will try and cook something... Yes." The Red said without turning around as he searched the kitchen for ingredients and cooking utensils.
"Alright then, show me Red." Farkas said with a smirk. Two figures stared at the Red and the Wolf from the edge of a wall in secrecy. "Look at that, Farkas agreed to it... Rahel, I never thought this idea would work." Angela said in delight, she was filled with joy. Her hands took Rahel's hands and hold them tightly. They both chuckled as they stared at the two males.
"I didn't think Piros was ginna handle it. I thought he was gomna break when he practice it with me!" He said with a smile, "That boy really does care for his tradition and family. I just hope he is able to change Farkas." He said in a whisper and Angela gave a nod in agreement.↶ ❦ ↷
Dusk came and then along the night with its purple veil. Farkas and Piros were in their room, both laying down on their beds in silence. They didn't exchange words when they were in the kitchen, nor when they walked to their room. They took a shower, each on their own time and then changed clothing. Farkas slept shirtless and Piros just slept in a silky blouse and pants that reached his knee. They weren't asleep, just silent, staring at the night. They have been like this for about half an hour now. It wasn't an uncomfortable silence. It was that silence that people need at times. The silence that was just enough and needed no words nor movements for it to explain itself. It stayed like that until Farkas cleared his throat as to take Piros' attention.
"Your cooking," he started with a low voice, "Was... Acceptable." He said and finished with a sigh and turned over his side, giving Piros his back.
Piros looked at him, "Thanks... May I ask something?" Farkas gave a nod.
"You said, you agreed for someone else... Is that someone, Eva?" Piros raised himself and used his elbow for support. Farkas didn't turned, he stayed silent for a few seconds as if deciding what words to use.
"Yes, but that's all I will say. I won't be telling you a bedtime story, now just... Go to sleep." He answered.
Piros just gave a nod and layed on his back once again. He hoped to know his reasons one day in the future, but he knew it would take a long time, an extremely long time for Farkas to do so.
