Yes, I am rewriting this; read A/N for an explanation. Thank you <3

Things are not always as they seem.

Zach's POV:

"Hurry up, guys!" I hear Jonah yell downstairs as he runs towards the car. Here I am: in the bathroom, just staring at my pale cheeks and scruffy hair in the reflection. I lightly slap my face: Stop it, fix yourself I tell myself. I hear a knock on the door, and I ignore it. I look like a ghost; nobody needs to witness this. In my mind, I create the list (as usual):

Pros and Cons of Going to an Amusement Park

Pros: 1. You could face your childish fear and ride a freaking roller coaster. 2. The trip could be a distraction; you could have fun.

Cons: 1. They will witness you on a roller coaster. And? That's it.

I push the list away and frantically throw on a shirt as I open the off-white door. Jonah must have sent Corbyn up to check on (or rush) me. "You okay, dude?" he asks with one eyebrow up. Red eyes. Shit, I'm crying?

"What? Oh, y-yes. Yeah, I'm fine," I reply as I brush a tear off my cheek.

"Well, uh, we're all waiting for you, so hurry it up!" he laughs patting my back. Today is the second day of our first full week off in a few months, so Jonah had the idea of visiting the amusement park. Today's going to be fun.

I rush downstairs, grab my hoody, and dash outside to the driveway. The guys are all leaning against the SUV while scrolling through their phones. I feel my face turn into a bright shade of red as I walk towards the car.

Finally, Jack looks up and says, "There you are. Hey everyone, the princess has arrived." He giggles as I lightly punch his arm. God, I adore that laugh. No, stop that!

"Hey, why can't I drive?" I complain as I climb into the backseat next to Daniel. I am responded to with four loud 'no's.

"We don't need to spend our vacation in the hospital," Corbyn jokes.

"Yo, I got my permit four months ago!" I say trying to keep a straight face; I failed. Good I think. Nothing has changed and nothing needs to.

Daniel's POV:

We have been driving for a good 30 minutes, and it was time for the traditional driver rotation. We pull into a gas station, and Jack, Zach and I are sent into the mini-mart while Corbyn switches with Jonah. As the two goof off, I grab Jonah his requested second cup of coffee along with a bag of potato chips for Corbyn. While paying for the items, I watch as Jack and Zach toss an apple around like a football in the isle.

"Let's go, you fools!" I yell as I open the store's door. I walk back to the car, and Jonah asks where the two boys are. "I swear those goons are just embarrassing," I laugh.

"I ship it," Corbyn remarks. We all laugh as we peek into the store's window. However, I soon become silent when I witness the way Zach looked at his best friend.

Jack's POV:

Zach and I playfully hit and wrestle each other as we walk through the busy parking lot to the car. When we stop to catch our breath, I am caught off guard by the beautiful way he sticks his chin out when grinning. He really is amazing.

He breaks eye contact and asks, "What?"

"Nothin'," I smile, "we should go back to the car."

He laughs as his cheeks turn red, "Y-yeah, they're probably going to kill us for taking so long." He pats my back, and my heart begins racing.
