On the 25th of December,
In the middle of a storm,
An unwanted bundle
Was quietly born.
Hair as dark as the thoughts
That silently plagued her mother.
A pure soul unaware of her purpose
To replace her brother.
Eyes as bright as the light
That reflected from the sea,
Contradicting the life
She would be destined to lead.
And even though she was born
On a Christmas Day,
The festive atmosphere
Seemed to stray.
For in her home
Was nothing but silence,
Worse than the foreseed violence
That was to come.
Worse than the red ink
That was to run.
For the silence that shook the walls
When the little girl was born,
Shrieked even louder
Than the earth shattering storm.
~
So, that was chapter 1. It's short, I know, but it will get a little longer in the future..
