°HIS BABY GIRL°

Wide eyed, the mother stared at her husband
With tear filled eyes burning,
But behind the obvious fear
The wheels he saw turning.

She was thinking of an excuse,
He was one hundred percent sure
And if she was not going to be truthful,
She was starting another war.

All he wanted from his wife
Was for the pretty thing to behave.
Then, only then,
Her honour she could save.

But she was a naughty one, his wife,
She never could listen.
So he stared the trembling creature down
And forcefully grabbed her chin.

At this action,
Her eyes widened even more.
He saw the wheels turning,
Saw her eyes bolt to the door.

"You can run, little one,
You can even try to hide.
But to my rules, silly girl,
You will eventually abide."

He smiled at her
But it was everything but kind.
The venom in his eyes
He never tried to hide.

"Now I'll ask you again
And don't even try to lie.
What smells like baby shit,
Something you can't deny?"

The mother bit her lip
And her eyes failed to hide her fear.
She was too scared to tell the truth
Or let go of the tears that were near.

So she resorted to saying nothing
And went to biting her tongue.
To be able to rattle and break her,
He was the only one.

Suddenly, like a storm no one saw coming,
His face changed.
She saw red behind his eyes
And his bulgy veins.

The mother swallowed
And froze in her place.
She could feel hell in his embrace,
See the devil in his face.

"Did you really think," he said while gripping her face hard enough to leave a bruise,
"That I don't know you, my little flooze?

That I was unaware of the change in your body
And the glow on your face?
Do you take me for a fool?
Was this the case?"

Her eyes almost bulged,
No, it couldn't be.
Her stomach never showed,
There was nothing for him to see.

"It's due time you realised
That I know everything.
I own your soul, your body
And any baby to this earth you bring."

The mother forced herself out of his scorchful grip
And carefully moved away.
He was still too calm,
She needed to obey.

But the husband moved even closer
And to calm him, she moved closer too.
"Where's my little, baby girl?" he asked,
"Or did you kill that one too?"
