Nostalgia

As a child, I would point at the clouds and wished I could fly,
Would look for my wishing star as I gazed at the sky,
Waited for days, holding on to my dreams of wild adventures,
Lost in my own storybooks, seeing a whole world behind the pictures.

I miss those years when I could still believe in what I want,
When I think of the future, and nothing in me says I can't,
But now all I do is hold back my tears everyday,
Missing the time before the rainbows turned gray.
