He rejected me?

Why does school have to suck so much? I mean you have to wake up super early to get there, and then they expect you to just jump right in and be happy about doing stupid work that you really don't even care about. That's why I have decided that today, I was going to stay home and enjoy my sixteenth birthday without having to worry about school!

"LAYLA NICOLE LOVE, GET YOUR BUTT UP AND GET READY FOR SCHOOL!!!!", my mom screamed from downstairs. So much for staying home and enjoying my birthday! I got out of my warm king size bed and went into my bathroom to get ready. "Dang you look rough", my wolf, Daisy, laughed at me, her laughter vibrating my head. Sometime I can't stand being a werewolf, but at the same time I wouldn't change it for the world.

Today being my sixteenth birthday, meant that I was meant to find my mate. Everyday before today, I have always been told that when you find your mate, its the most wonderful feeling in the world. That there is no one in the world that you will ever love more. I really hope they were right! I can't wait to fall in love and just truly be happy with my soulmate!

Pulling away from my thoughts, I looked at my reflection in the mirror and sighed. My long blonde curls were going in every direction all over my head. I have dark circles under my eyes from lack of sleep (Thank you school) and my makeup that I had on from last night is smeared all over my face. The only thing that looked half way decent is my chocolate brown eyes that I loved.

Feeling more motivated, I jumped into the shower and decided to look my best today. After all, today would be the day that I find the love of my life. After showering, I went to my closet and tried to decide what to wear. I pulled out about five out fits before I found the perfect one. I decided on a pair of purple skinny jeans and a white tank top, with a pair of black flats. I decided to go light on my makeup, I have never liked caking on my makeup.

After I finished everything, I ran downstairs and found my mom and dad sitting at the table. My mom had a book, reading, while my dad read his newspaper. Our maid, Gloria, Stood bye the stove, making us breakfast. My dad is the beta of our pact, The Purple Moon pact. So being apart of his family has its perks! Now you would think having a dad with such a high place in your pact would make you popular with the other wolves, well it doesn't. Not many people here like me. They think, that because I would rather sit at home on a Friday night and read a pose to going to a party that I am nothing but a geek. It also didn't help that am somewhat overweight. So, its probable not a surprise that at school, I tend to get bullied...A lot.

Feeling tears coming to my eyes just thinking about how the kids at school treat me, I quickly grab a breakfast bar from the bowl that is neatly placed in the middle of our wooden table, and give my mom and dad kisses on their cheeks and mutter a quick apology to Gloria for leaving without eating what she cooked. I turned to see my mom and dad giving me weird looks before I left, I could not let them see me cry. I had to be strong, like I always am.

I walked out of the house and got into my purple punch bug that I loved to death. Being who I am, I got the privilege of being able to drive at the age of fifth teen. I guess some good things have come out of being me. I smiled to myself, and started my car. I pulled out of the driveway, and maid my way to the hell hole that is also known as Bridge Way High.

As I pulled into the parking lot, I took my usual spot at the back of the parking lot and took a deep breath before finally getting out of my bug. I looked up at the massive school and sighed. "This is going to be one long day", I heard Daisy say in my head and I frowned, knowing she was right. I made my way up to the front door of the school and stepped inside. I walked with my head held low, while kids ran all around me. I made it to my locker in recorded breaking time. I got all of my things and headed to class, not looking at anyone.

All of my classes went bye pretty normal. Most students just ignored me and then there were the special few who decided that they would pick on me. As usual, I just kept my mouth shut and went on with my day. All day I searched for my mate. Thinking that I would just turn a corner and he would be there to comfort me and make me his. But no, he is no where to be found.

Feeling very irritated, I stormed out of the school building and stomped to my bug. How could I have not found him? Today was support to be the day we would fall in love and everything would be all better! Not paying attention to where I was going, I bumped into someone on the way to my bug and all of my papers that I had in my hands went flying. I didn't even look up to see who had bumped into me, not wanting to get yelled at. As soon as my chest touched the other persons chest, I felt sparks start going through my entire body. "MATE", Daisy screamed in my head, giving me a headache. I looked up to meet a pair of crystal blue eyes staring right back at me, and then alarm bells started going off in my head. The boy staring at me right now was none other than Blake Ryder, the alpha of my pack.

He stared at me for a second and I could just see the disappointment in his eyes. I felt my heart slowly start to break as the look of anger flashed across his face, making his eyes go hard. "Whats your name", he asked in the most cold, but sexiest voice I had ever heard in my entire life. "L..Layla Love", I managed to say, my voice coming out as a whisper. He looked at me one more time before saying the words that I was most afraid of hearing. "I, Blake Ryder, reject you, Layla Love as my mate".
