Deep fall

ZARA'S POV

I didn't know what happened after that night or normally how a girl feels going through the phase 2 of dating life, but I wasn't me. 
I stopped hating him instead I started adoring him for all the silly things he does. I didn't want to feel this way anymore after Rahul,but things can get complicated however they want to.

It was been aldready two weeks since that night. We started hanging out way too much. I used to even stay back in his dorm. It was all going well, talking on the phone for hours and hours or clubbing or small dinner dates.
Everything was perfect until the day they had to leave.

I was waiting for him at the college cafeteria since we decided to have a final cup of coffee before he goes.

"Are you expecting someone?" Aditi startled me from back.
"Abhi"
"Their bus just left!",she replied quickly.

I really didn't want to believe that. I quickly dailed his number which was known by heart now.
After a couple of rings, he answered.

"Hey,what's up?"
I wasn't sure it was him speaking because he was behaving as if he was totally unaware of the meeting.
"Where are you?"
"On the way back to college."
"Which one?"
"Of course mine idiot!" He laughed.
"Weren't you supposed to meet me at the cafeteria?" I asked questioningly because I wasn't sure what was wrong.
"Oh! I'm sorry. I was getting late,so had to go early"he answered causually.
"you could have at least texted me that you couldn't show up?"
"I was in a hurry".
"If you would have informed me,I wouldn't have waited for you like a dumbass here having no idea that you wouldn't show up!"
"Chill I'm sorry. What's the big deal?"he replied carelessly.
"Nothing! Call me when you reach there!" And I hung up.

"What's the matter?" Aditi's hand rested on my shoulder.
"Nothing, just a communication problem. Do you mind having a cup of coffee with me?"
"Sure" she smiled and sat infront of me.

I didn't know what just happened but I felt violated. I didn't have any right to control him but that doesn't mean he can just not show up and not feel it as a big deal.
Our coffees arrived and we were just having a casual conversation. Even she was a little sad about John leaving.

The day went by normally. I didn't get any call back for a week from him, which I think is enough for him to reach his college. I didn't bother to call him out of my self respect but couldn't holdup for the 10th day.

I dailed up his number.
After two rings he answered.
"Hey how you doing?"
"I'm good. How have you being?"
"It's alright here."
There was a complete silence after.
"Umm..er so how's John?" I tried to keep up some conversation.
"He's good."
And there was silence again.
"Cool then I'll call you later."and he hung up on me.
I didn't know what just happened. He didn't even wait for me say something and the worst part was it bothered me.
Then I did realise I'd fallen in a very very deep trouble.
