Thunderkit's P.O.V.

"Thunderkit! Oh Thunderkit, my kit! It's okay, father's here now," Thunderkit felt a tounge go over her ear gently. She breathed in, and to her surprise, she smelled her father. She let out a whimper then snuggled up to her father, taking in his comforting scent.

"She's starting to do better, but she's still not out of the woods yet," The cat from earlier meowed.

"How much longer?" Thunderkit's father asked.

"I don't know, I'm sorry," Before they could say anything else, Thunderkit slipped back into sleep.

Thunderkit woke up, and this time, she opened her eyes. She blinked several times to get use to the light before looking around. She didn't know where she was. Her father war curled around her, keeping her warm but avoiding her injured paw. She held it up and looked at it. It was covered in some sticky white stuff and it smelled funny. It still hurt, but not as bad as before. She felt her father move as he yawned and strechted his legs, uncurling around Thunderkit. He looked at her and blinked a few times before letting out a yowl of alarm and licking her all over.

"Thunderkit, you're awake! Thank Starclan, my daughter is awake!"

"She's awake?" It's that voice again! Thunderkit thought as she craned over to look at the cat. She was light-gray with a white muzzle.

"Who are you?" Thunderkit squeaked as the cat sniffed her.

"My name is Skyface," Skyface purred before giving Thunderkit a lick on the head. "I'm Iceclan's medicine cat."

"Iceclan! So I'm in Iceclan camp right now?" Thunderkit looked around in awe.

"So may I take her home now?" Blazingglory never took his eyes off of Thunderkit as he spoke. "She woke up after all."

"Not yet, she's not well enough to move yet. And we don't want to risk hurting that paw anymore, a trip though the mountains is hard enough without a kit in your jaws, and there isn't anyway she's gonna walk."

"I can walk well enough!" Thunderkit looked Skyface in the eye. Skyface just twitched her whiskers in amusment.

"Then try standing up on all four paws."

"I will!" But as soon as Thunderkit put her injured paw on the ground, she felt a sharp pain before letting out a wail and falling to the ground.

"She's not ready."

"I know," Blazingglory sighed as he began licking Thunderkit. Skyface walked past them and further into the den, looking through all of the leaves and berries in there before coming out with a small leaf. She set it down in front of Thunderkit.

"Eat a poppy sead, it'll help the pain go away." As Thunderkit swallowed one, Skyface turned to Blazingglory. "If she starts to feel pain when she wakes up, give her another."

"I'm not tired! Why would I sle-" But Thunderkit was cut off by a yawn.

"Of course not, just when you do sleep." Skyface meowed gently. Thunderkit yawned again and curled up beside Blazingglory, drifting off into sleep once more.
