The next few weeks went by quickly. Max and Jennifer had formed a new bond and hung out most of the time. No problems had really arisen until one day when both Max and Jennifer were about to leave the house.

They walked into the living room whilst putting on their coats and waved a quick goodbye to Hank, Barb, and Phoebe, who were sitting watching the news.

"Where are you two going?? It's almost midnight." Barb asked, intent on not letting them leave.

"Oh! Sorry, I thought we told you." Jennifer said with a smile on her face, "Max and I are going to the midnight showing of IT." she said gleefully.

"You guys are going to a movie? Why wasn't I invited." Phoebe asked, feeling left out. Jennifer looked nervously to Max before returning her attention to Phoebe.

"Sorry Pheebs. I guess we weren't thinking. IT doesn't seem like the kind of movie you're into." Jenn admitted. "Of course you can still come if you want to!!" She said quickly. Phoebe smiled and hopped up.

"I love horror movies. Just let me get ready. Won't be five minutes." Phoebe said before running up, Max followed. Barb decided to let the kids go. They were growing up and a midnight movie is something all kids did...right?

Max walked into Phoebe's room, Jennifer waiting downstairs, "Pheebs. Since when do you like scary movies?" Max questioned.

"Umm since forever Max." Phoebe stated with a 'no der' look on her face.

"Phoebe you hate scary movies. We couldn't watch The Nightmare Before Christmas because the skeletons creeped you out!" Max stated.

"Okay first of all walking skeletons are creepy. And second, that was a long time ago. I can handle IT." Phoebe said, grabbing her purse.

"If you say so." Max said following her out.

"You guys ready?" Jenn asked as they walked back down the stairs.
They nodded and all left for the theatre.

*at the theatre*

The three teens sat down in their seats, having been able to get the whole back row to themselves, and the lights began to dim.

"I'm gonna go get snacks." Phoebe stated while standing up, preparing to leave.

"Don't bother." Jenn said before slyly looking around and beginning to dig in her, fairly average sized, purse. She pulled out 3 small bottles of soda, a box of M&Ms, a box of Sour Patch Kids, and a few bars of candy; handing out each item.

"Wow you got all that stuff from the snack bar? When did you have time?" Phoebe asked in amazement. Jenn gave her a very questioning look, shared it with Max, and then looked back at Phoebe.

"Uhh I didn't?? I brought this stuff from the house. Max and I went and got snacks from the dollar store earlier." Jenn said.

"But-but the sign says no outside food or drinks." Phoebe said looking around to see if anyone had noticed. "And how did you fit it all in your purse? What about your phone and wallet and stuff?? Oh my gosh are we gonna get kicked out?!" Phoebe rambled.

"We will if you keep talking so loudly" Max sighed. "I paid for the tickets so Jenn could fit all the snacks in her purse."

"Yeah. And I put my phone in your bag in the car." Jenn said, easily pulling it out of the inside pocket of Phoebe's purse. "You must be crazy if you think I'm paying $7 for a box of candy. Oh shh the movies starting." Jenn said and, while the fairly loud starting music began she opened things, the sound of them being opened masked by the sound of the movie.

*after IT, back at the house*

Phoebe walked in with Max and Jenn, her face sheet white. The other two were smiling giddily. "How was the movie kids?" Hank asked, having stayed up with Barb to make sure they got home alright.

"It was great! Oh my gosh the part with 'You'll float too'." Jenn said turning to Max and scrunching up her face "Oh it was soo creepy. I loved it!!"

"Man I loved that scene where they all gang up on him!" Max said. "Well I'm tired so I'm gonna head to bed. Night everyone." He called before hurrying to his lair.

"Me too. Such a great movie though. You coming up Phoebe." Jenn asked her cousin.

"Of course don't leave me alone--I mean yes. I'm also tired." Phoebe said and followed Jenn upstairs.

When morning came Jenn and Max came downstairs looking fairly rested, obviously had slept. Phoebe, however, was falling asleep at the table. "Pheebs. You okay?" Jenn asked, concerned. "Maybe we shouldn't have gone to that movie."

"No! No it was great!" Phoebe faked, "can't wait for the next midnight scary movie!"

"Seriously?" Max asked, sending a nervous glance at his twin.

"How great!" Jenn said, catching on, "Max and I were gonna watch a horror movie marathon tonight! All of the Saw movies in one night. It starts at 9!" She said smiling.

"No!" Phoebe said quickly before sighing. "I'm sorry you guys I can't. You were right. I don't like scary movies. I can't handle them. I wish I could so then we could hang out more but I can't." She said defeated.

"We know." Jenn said whilst taking a spoonful of cereal. "And that's okay. You don't have to like scary movies, it's just something Max and I both enjoy. And it's fine that you don't. We can find other ways to hang out."

"Really? You knew?" Max and Jenn nodded. "Well at least I don't have to pretend to like it anymore. Wait. Were you trying to trick me with that Saw movie marathon? I bet that's not even happening." Phoebe said pridefully.

"Oh no it's real." Max said.

"Yeah. We're actually doing that tonight. Oo! Wanna go get microwave popcorn at the store real quick?" Jenn asked Max who nodded in response and the two left the house to go shop for snacks for that night.

Phoebe watched them go, I wonder if Cherry would wanna watch a rom-com tonight, She thought to herself before heading up to her room.
