The cave Avicrita is a mysterious magical creature, which lures its prey with the bioluminescent light emanating from the bulbs attached to it's tubules. Therefore over time the presense of eyes became a lost character trait. In general for all three types of avicritas their diet consists of fish, squid, octopus, and crabs. Overall there are three species of the Avicrita based on its environment. Its habitat consists of caves, coral reefs, and the open ocean. This creature also has a timid and docile temperament, but it can become highly aggressive if there is a decrease in food availability.

In the world of Xa'zexia =
Sadly, the Avicrita is threatened because of over fishing for it's meat being considered a delicacy. It is believed that if you acquire its scales then you would be able to breath underwater once ingested.
In the world of Aku'zephta =
Some believe it is related to mermaids or sirens because of its alluring vocal sounds, which is used for echolocation and during the mating season.
