There is no way I’m going to win.
This is a worldwide competition for god’s sake – they will probably pick someone from America to come and experience Australia or something like that.
But still I have a chance, all I can do is enter once.
“Rose? How’s the application going love?” Mum poked her head around the doorframe.
“Umm, its going I guess. I mean, I’ve written my name.”
“Come on sweetie, you can do this. You have just as much chance as everyone else. Everyone can only enter once right?” She sat beside me on my bed.
“Yeah, just the once. I know that they won’t pick me though…”
“Stop being so negative! All you can do is enter, you never know – you might get it! They’re your favourite band, so this could be your chance to finally meet them.”
“Alright, I’ll do it.”
“Yay! I’m so excited for you!”
“I can tell.”
Mum sighed, “Go and have a shower when you’re done, dinner’s almost ready.”
“Mkay,” I mumbled. She kissed me on the top of my head and walked off down the hall.
It’s just one application. Here we go…
I filled out the application and 15 minutes later, I was washing my hair; trying to let all my worries about my application run away down the drain.
It was just one application out of millions more, I literally have a one in a million chance here. Wait, what if I entered some information wrong? Holy shit I entered my address wrong! No, no you didn’t Rose – you checked that freaking application a million times, there is nothing wrong with it.
Well, I guess now all I can do...
Is wait.
A/N:
So this is what I have been working on... well the start of it anyway.
