Beacon Academy. One of the four major Huntsmen Academies in all of Remnant. Getting in is almost impossible if you have no skill or prior training. It's hard enough with both of those. But when you know the right people, you can find your way in. You are one of the lucky students to attend the school. Only problem: you didn't live in Vale. You lived in Vale before, when you were very young. But recently you lived in Mistral. It didn't bother you. You had no real friends there. The only one you did have is sitting next to you on the transport to Beacon. You look over at your "friend" and smile. She's asleep resting her head on her hand. You look to the other side and see a blonde boy holding his hand to his mouth. You giggle and look towards the window, before turning to him again.

"Are you going to be okay?" He looks at you and nods, then tries to hold in the contents of his stomach.

"Are you sure? I'm sure I have something I could give you to settle your stomach." He shakes his head and swallows what was in his mouth. You shudder at the thought and keep your focus on him.

"No man, I'm good. The name's Jaune Arc by the way." He extends his hand and you shake it.

"(y/n). (y/n) (l/n)." He slowly looks you over, causing you to lightly blush and look away.

"I hope I don't sound too... rash but you're pretty." You blush harder and smile.

"T-thank you Jaune. You look very nice yourself." He stammers and rubs his neck, his cheeks a bright red. You thoughtfully sigh and look out the window again. You can see Beacon and immediately your heart begins to race. Jaune takes notice, but doesn't say anything to you. You look back to the sleeping girl next to you, then at your hands. The shuttle lands and you watch as Jaune immediately runs to a trash can. You walk up beside him and silently gag, before turning away.

"I really hope you feel better Jaune. It was so nice to meet you." He doesn't reply due to his current situation, so you simply walk away, giving him his space. You just wander the courtyard taking in the view. It isn't long before you catch the smell of dust, and find two girls, one covered in ash, screaming at the smaller, more afraid one. The screaming voice catches your attention, and you immediately remember who it is.

"Weiss? Is that really you?" Weiss turns around and looks at you questioningly, and you brush some of your hair behind your ear. Her stern glare slowly softens as she recognizes who you are.

"(y/n)? It's been a while since I saw you last." You softly smile and give her a light hug. She hugs you back and then you look over at the other girl. You see her fear and you look softens. As scared as you are, you know she's more so.

"Hi, I'm (y/n)." She looks at you and smiles. Her fear slightly going away.

"I'm Ruby..."

"She's the one who did this to me."

"I'm sorry." You sigh and gently brush Weiss's shoulder off.

"Now Weiss, I'm sure it was just an accident."

"Of course you would think that." You shrug in defeat, knowing better than to argue with the heiress, then turn around only to be met with a sight you didn't expect to see. Prryha Nikos. You immediately turn around and Weiss smiles at you. You feel heat and the blood rushing to your face.

"Oh? Does somebody have a little crush?"

"I don't even know her personally Weiss. I don't have a crush. She just intimidates me. She such a good fighter." Weiss shakes her head and crosses her arms.

"So are you. Don't be intimidated by people. It's not good for your image." You slightly nod and look down. Weiss pats your shoulder and cleans herself off, as you walk away, hoping to find someone you know. And then you find them.
