There was a time when the Angels of Darkness and the Angels of Light lived in peace and harmony, but that is now ancient history ended when the Seven Deadly Sins known as: Wrath, Greed, Lust, Envy, Pride, Gluttony, and Sloth. This is what leads us to the story of how forbidden love found the strength to reunite the lost brotherhood once shared between the Darkness and the Light. Eons have past since the War of Angels had begun and the world of Humanity is seen as neutral territory, a safe zone for both Dark Angels and Angels of Light, a cease-fire zone if you will, and this is where our story begins. It was in a lowly tavern named The Angel's Rest in the Kingdom Artania the busiest tavern in Shadow Falcon Grove when a man entered the tavern to escape the storms that were brewing outside. He was soaked to the bone as he removed the hood of his cloak to reveal the cross shaped scar that ran down the right side of his face, his hair long and black dripping water along the floor as he walked among the joyous drunken patrons of the tavern, he took his seat at the bar and the barkeep said, "The name's Kane and I'm the proprietor of this establishment and I'm not going to serve you a drop of ale you whoreson," he said with stern tone. "Listen here you fucking stubborn jackass I'll take a mug of your finest ale," the stranger exclaimed furiously, as the whole tavern fell silent. "Malachi you crazy bastard it's good to see you again brother," Kane laughed, as everything in the place went back to normal. "So how's Caiyne," he asked Kane frantically. "Relax she survived the massacre of Ironclad." "Oh thanks the nine hells. I thought for sure she would have died at father's sword." Malachi sighed in relief. "Malachi you know I've got you back brother, twins among angels are very rare, just don't die on me brother that arrow you took in the side nearly killed me," Kane started before his brother cut him off. "I have to apologize for that but bedding the daughter of the king of your enemy tends to make everyone a little bit angry."
"Barkeep, I'll have what he's having," said a mysterious woman in a white cloak as she removed her hood to reveal a gorgeous angel with smooth caramel colored skin and long black hair that flowed perfectly down to her shoulders. "Caiyne," both the brothers exclaimed. "I'm glad to see that you survived the massacre of Ironclad," Malachi said to Caiyne as he held her in his arms giving her a long and passionate kiss. "While I might not agree this forbidden unholy union between you two I have to accept it, because I'm not about to die for your sins brother," Kane said breaking up their touching reunion. "Fuck off you stupid bastard," Malachi started, "just because I'm the handsome one doesn't mean you have to be jealous." "Jealous my arse," Kane said sarcastically, as they all headed back toward storeroom. "So how long has this little love affair between the to of you been going on," Kane asked. "About 2,000 years or so," Malachi replied. "2,000 years no wonder the bounty on your head is so outrageously fucking high," he said, "are you fucking insane, it's a godforsaken miracle you ain't dead already." "What bounty," Caiyne started to ask, "do I even wanna ask how much?" "Its half the Angelic Treasury and the bounty on his head just keeps growing every fucking day that angels from both sides have been hunting his happy ass down," Kane started, "but on the brightside at least the reward for half the treasury is only valid if he's brought in alive." "I sense a catch," Caiyne said. "But, even if I'm brought in dead the reward on my head still stands at a hundred thousand gold pieces," Malachi said, "and the neutral zone no longer applies to me, nor anyone associated with me." "That's just fucking great, now we are all free game you bastard," Caiyne said. "For once I'm actually agreeing with the Light Angel," Kane said frustratedly to Malachi. "Who's side are you on anyway, we can't control who we are destined to fall in love with," Malachi said. "You are saying that you think that you and Caiyne are the Angels of Prophecy do you," Kane asked as they all started laughing at the thought, when all of a sudden they heard screams from the front of the bar and a man burst in drenched in the rainwater from the storm as well as the blood of the brutally murdered patrons that could be seen just beyond the mysterious masked stranger. "Malachi today is the day you die," exclaimed the mysterious blood soaked stranger. As this blood soaked man stood in front of them, murderous intent in his cold and soulless eyes, the trio stood there in complete anger and shock that anyone would be so brazen as to attack The Angel's Rest that was protected by the highest of Angelic authority whether it be Light Angels or Angels of Darkness , seeing as how the inn was on the spot held sacred to all Angels. "How dare you shed blood of both mortal and angel of alike in this most sacred of sites," Kane exclaimed, "This is the spot where we made our presence known to the mortals that both sides use to enlist in the Holy War."
Upon saying that the man lunged at Malachi with the axe, it was only due to the quick reflexes of his brother that the axe swing missed. "Gods be damned," the stranger exclaimed as he was disarmed by Kane. "Who are you and why have you desecrated this most holy of sites," Caiyne shouted at the masked man. "My name is Lt. Rowan of the Angelic Rebel Legion (A.R.L.)," the stranger exclaimed making another strike at Malachi with the hidden blade he had beneath his sleeve. "You lie," Malachi said as he swung at the masked man with his fist just narrowly dodging the blade striking him in the face. "The Rowan that we knew died during an ambush at Shadow Grove Pass ten years ago," Kane said with true anger in his voice. "As I said before," masked figure said while removing the mask,"I. Am. Rowan. I joined the A.R.L. after I realized that both sides have same fascist ideologies, they both want the same thing to control the reigns of both Heaven and Hell, but both sides are equally as brutal sparing no one who stands in there way, They are two sides of the same damn coin and will stop at nothing to attain victory, they are even willing to sacrifice thousands of innocent lives to achieve ultimate power."
"Aye this is a truth that we know all too well," Malachi stated, "I may have despised the A.R.L. at one point and may have caused the so much pain, after your death I was so angry I made a vow that day, I vowed that I destroy the A.R.L., but as fate would have it it looks like I will have to break that vow. Kane stand down."
"Are you insane---" Kane started to say before Malachi cut him off. "I hereby invoke the rite of initiation," Malachi exclaimed, "Rowan take me to Raziel." "Very well," Rowan said as a frustrated look fell across his face. "Brother if we weren't twins I would kill you myself, seeing as how you just signed our death warrants. I too invoke the rite of initiation as well," Kane said. "As do I," Caiyne exclaimed. "Very well, as you all may know just by invoking the rites of initiation you abandon all allegiances and swear your fealty the A.R.L.," Rowan started, "with this in mind do you still wish to continue." Everyone nodded in agreement, "Very well, come with me."
