The underground metro is very crowded today. Various people enter and leave trains. Which was expected, since it's Friday night and everyone is rushing home, including Bethany. She's heading back from university and feels immensely tired. The only thing she wants to do is just jump on her soft bed and sleep. But one can only dream because today is her niece's birthday, she is turning 3 and Beth's sister is having a little party for her. Don't get me wrong I love my niece, I just lack of sleep and it's making me grumpy. Looking down at her watch, she saw that the it was 8 PM, which meant that the party has has already started. I'm late, but they can manage, right?

The constant sound of wheels making contact on the rails was disturbing, along with the loud chatters of people who were trying to let another know what they were saying. So she grabbed the earphones from the bag, plugged into the phone and put some music on.

The wait for the train took longer than usual. It stopped in front of her and Beth, along with the wave of people, stepped inside. There wasn't really a room for anyone to sit, so she was just standing in the middle of the carriage. The train stopped a few times to let more people in and started driving again.

Not long after that, the lights started flickering and then completely shut down. The train came to an abrupt stop, leaving the half of its carriage in the tunnel while the other half was out of it. Confusion took over Bethany's features, which made her pull the earphones out. What is happening? The carriage was filled with murmurs of confused, angry, scared and 'don't give a shit' people.

Suddenly the lights came back, but the train was standing still. Silence engulfed everybody and after a deafening absence of sound, came a whole lot of a noise from the front of the train. Loud screams filled the carriage, Bethany started to panic, she couldn't even speak. Then it happened, the crash and she had the feeling that whatever was happening in the front was going to happen wherever she was as well and there was it, the blood on the windows. She shuffled herself through confused and terrified people, who tried to act tough and didn't move at all.

I mean come on people, when you hear something like this and see that you run.

After passing 3 carriages through these bodies she saw that people there were just cluelessly looking around to see why they've stopped, but their questions were answered when they saw Beth's panicked expression, heard the loud screams and took a look behind her. All of them stood up and started running towards the back door.

People exited person after person and started running through the tunnel. This action left her astonished as to how people were letting each other go, instead of jumping over others heads.

Time was the last thing anybody thought about, nobody knew how long they've been running, but when they made it to another station everything was quiet. They stopped before examining the situation. No one seemed to be there, well at least from where they stood it looked like that.

Bethany took a look at the people behind. They were scared, even terrified to speak up. She's not the type of girl who will take a lead but the look on the little girls face, who was hugging her bear tightly gave the shy student sudden confidence.
