Frieda gasped, she knew that horse, her mother had earned the trust of the Mantle when she went to this competition, the Mantle was very impressed by her caring nature and readiness to save anyone that not only did he amplify her groups powers but he requested to leave Graynor and live with her in Rainbow Valley. Her mother refused saying generations would come here to ask for help and she didn't want to take him away from helping others. So the Mantle agreed to return every year for the competition so he could help others as long as he could stay with my mom. When the war came my mom told the Mantle to run, she didn't want him to get caught in the battle fight and not make it out. The Mantle didn't want to agree in fact he stayed during the battle but once Rainbow Valley lost and Rose was dead he had no choice but to run the family he learned to love was gone for all he new, he ran back to Graynor never to be seen in Rainbow Valley again.
